Well today's dose wasn't as smooth, but we got through it. I did get cleared to do a light walk about with the rollator, so very pleased about that. Unfortunately the IV was infiltrated it took 3 jabs to finally find a vein that wouldn't roll. Had I known, I would have drank a lot of water, which helps. But I didn't know the vein was in such bad shape, so we had to hunt and peck and jab until the vein was found. I hate needles so keeping calm was difficult. Plus we started before 7:00 am, and the solumedrol only allows me 2 hours of sleep at a time. I was up since 4:0 am so am very tired.

But just one more day to go and it will be accomplished. My neuro wants me to check in 5 days after the last IV, so have to remember to do that. One good thing about starting so early was that it was all done by about 9:30. Tomorrow we will be back at the regular starting time at 9:00 am, but I have discovered that if I play Solitaire the time goes by much more quickly. Otherwise, it is like watching grass grown Totally never ending. lol Okay that is it for now. Be back after the last dose tomorrow.

Someone said MS isn't for sissies, and your experience is one more example of why that is true. I hope this last session will be a walk in the park for you and maybe even result in a walk in the park soon afterwards. Soon you can catch up on all of the interrupted sleep too.

DAR, glad you checked in, but so sorry things didn't go as well as you had hoped. I think it is a positive sign that you can do a light walk with a rollator. I really hope tomorrow goes better.

Sorry about all the jabs DAR. Hate that!

Been wondering about DAR. I hope she isn't suffering too many side effects from the steroids.

Hi folks, we've been through a whirlwind of unexpected problems. Curt had a stroke and I suffered a massive relapse. We are both in the hospital although we are both recovering. We are actually in the same hospital,so we can talk to each other regularly. I will post more details as soon as possible.

Oh, wow. But thankful for small favors (not quite the word I'm looking for). I hope neither of you will be in long.

Dar, I'm so sorry! Being in the same hospital as Curt is certainly a plus but it's just a shame that you both have to be there at all.

Together you'll climb your way out of this. I just know you will.

Thanks so much for checking in here. I'll be hoping for a speedy recovery for you both!

Thanks my friends. Today I am heading off to rehab, but very sad to leave Curt behind. Anxious to begin my recovery though. Curt has to be checked for various little things before he is given the go ahead for rehab.

The doctors are saying 5 more days or do. We are hoping that by mid June we will be back together at our home.

My sister is with us for the future determined to take care of us and help nurse us both back to health. Her help is invaluable and very appreciated.

This is good to hear, DAR. May it be a smooth transition to Rehab and may Curt follow soon.

                            God bless your sister.

I know you must hate to leave Curt, but hopefully he will be following you very soon. I just hope the path to recovery begins to get easier and easier for both of you.
