I moved in May which is why I have not posted. I got tested for COVID19 during this and luckily it was negative.

Funny legs it is good to see you again. I hope the move went well with no health repercussions from over doing. Glad you were negative for COVID. I wonder if you had anything going on that made you decide to get the test.

Hope your move went smoothly, Funny Legs. Glad you tested negative. Were you having symptoms, or just a confirmatory test?

Rose, Virginia, I am so sorry for your losses. I lost a relative a week ago, but just found out yesterday. She was a dear, wise woman. I don't think I feel strong enough to travel for the funeral, wasn't given much time to organize it.

I will wear a mask until hospitalizations are limited to the unvaccinated. I have not taken all these protective measures only to be at risk from others walking around infectious and unmasked.

Rose, I didn't mean all coverage had stopped, I meant the main news anchors running around to be the on the ground reporters, then returning to the studios. I prefer anchors in the studios, reporters on the scene reporting. It feels disrespectful when anchors abruptly return to their anchor desks as though their own personal coverage had been needed on the scene but now it isn't.

I am so glad these brave young victims who experienced such horror and trauma are testifying. The bravery to share her nightmare! My heart also goes out to the parents waiting outside who were begging for law enforcement to go in and save their loved ones, or let them go in themselves. I'm sure everyone, like from Sandy Hook, Parkland, Buffalo, Vegas, etc. must be having flashbacks.

I have missed you, and I am happy to see you posting again. Moving can be treacherous, and I hope it went smoothly for you. I am grateful that you haven't had COVID, and I pray that it will continue to be so for you.

Thank you for your understanding. I am very sorry for your losses too.

Every one of my loved ones struggled valiantly with a debilitating condition. Their courage and determination serve as an inspiration for all of us, who love them. They are free now, in God's Arms, at peace. And while I weep, I also rejoice for them. I give thanks for the blessings they are in my life, and in the lives of every person they met on their journeys.

          Love & Light,

I went out today for the first time since I went to the Doctor on the 26th of May. Last week I ordered groceries from Instacart and found it very expensive. I needed to go anyway. I went first to Home Depot and looked at the flooring for kitchen (hopefully the last big thing on the list to redo the kitchen). I brought home some samples and do not like any of them, but it definitely gave me a good idea of what I do want. After being in there for awhile I went to the drive thru bank and to the drive thru pharmacy. Then I went to Harris Teeter and after that to Lowe's Foods. I had fresh food for supper tonight and I have enough for tomorrow night and possibly the night after.

Wonder of wonders - Walgreens Pharmacy is reopening on Saturdays as of 6-11. They will be open Monday through Saturday from 9:00AM until 6:00PM. They will still be closed on Sundays, but I am satisfied just to have Saturday service back. I hope this means good things are happening for that store. It is a nice store and I can't imagine what would go in there.

My Niece's baby boy, which I know you are all getting tired of hearing about, took more steps than he ever had a few days ago. He had been taking a few, but this time he took 10 or 12, then he sat down and started clapping and laughing. He is always smiling and laughing. I think the clapping was because they clap when he has been walking a few steps before. My niece says he eats anything and everything. My middle brother and his wife went to dinner with them a little over a week ago and he told me Dylan (baby) ate everything they put in front of him. He was 11 months old yesterday.

The weather was pretty nice today. The high was only 85 with low humidity.

Agate, did you get your c scan done? I thought it was due last week, but time has been just getting away from me.

Got word this morning that there was an automobile theft in my neighborhood during the night, in fact the townhouse is located just across from me. I can see it from my living room window. Kind of unsettling. This person has two cars. One is some kind of fancy car and they keep a cover over it. They have a second car that they drive everyday and it is the one that was stolen. The person who called me thinks it might have been left unlocked. She said it happened they think between 2 and 3 AM. She also said it was several (I think like 2 to 4 persons) involved. A camera on someone's house must have picked up something or someone saw something. I am not sure about these particulars.

I do always lock my car and I always set the the alarm in my house, but it seems nothing is enough anymore to protect yourself and your property. It is disgusting the things that are going on everywhere. If someone saw something they probably would be afraid to do anything. Anyone can get shot, anywhere now.

                  Thank you for your Amen!

I am often reminded of a physical therapy session with Jonathan, when he was still able to ambulate. He needed a walker, which was fine, but his PT insisted that he try walking independently. I balked. "But, he might fall," I blurted nervously.

The PT replied, "It is harder to hold on than to let go."

                  Wise words.

Even as my loved ones' Earthly lives waned and drained them of energy and quality of life, they held on. And, I held on, and I continue to hold on, because I am still Earth-bound. I did not want to let them go, but I knew each one of them had been released, when they finally let go.

We Earth-bound human beings have a history of holding onto things, and that hasn't worked out well for us. Imagine if we let go of all of the anger, hostility, greed, power seekers, and we lived in peace on Earth.

I am a huge fan of Albert Einstein. I pray that whatever life exists on other planets is more advanced and peaceful than our life on Earth.

Someone asked about how I am doing on the Avonex I recently restarted. I hate it, of course. I am getting the familiar flu-like symptoms. I miss the symptom free treatments of Rituxan and Tysabri, but my new neurologist said they are too risky for me at my age and also due to the fact that I had shingles twice while on Rituxan. I will adapt.

Ikoiko, sorry you are not liking your new med. Maybe with time the flu like symptoms will lessen. Mine only lasted about a day or 3/4 of one, but I still didn't like it. Hope it just keeps your MS at bay. That is the big thing.

Tomorrow will be store day, my first journey out since payday. I plan to go as early as possible to avoid the heat as much as possible. I know heat is my enemy. We are in the 90's days.

What a difference from when I was young and living at home.

We lived a hop, skip, and a jump from a swim club. Dad was the first member as he joined when the pool was still under construction. In those days, how hot it was made no difference. My dad was a great provider for his family. I miss him.

Actually, I miss all of my family members who have passed on, but I will join them soon enough. Ain't life a strange but wonderful thing?

Howie, I know you have a strong attachment to your family and I am absolutely certain they were really good people. Your sister is there if you have to have her and that is not something everyone can say. However, we are hoping you will not join the rest of the family anytime soon. We would like you to be here with this family for a long time.

Heat is my enemy also. It is so hot already that I can hardly stand it.

I hope you will be very careful when you go to the store tomorrow. You are staying in about like I am.

Summer does start really early there where you are, Howie--and Virginia too--and it does go on for months and months.

If I were still in the south, I think I'd be making sure I could stay cool enough all summer long to get a few things done that I'd need to do and the rest of the time I'd just sit in front of the TV or somewhere else where I didn't have to move a muscle except to lift the occasional beverage to my mouth.

Yes, it's been really bad here. Today was 94 and tomorrow is to be about the same. By Friday it is to be up close to 100. The heat index is so high, and that makes it worse than what it sounds. Today, I was on next door neighbor and they were discussing the fact that people should not let their dogs walk on pavement, if they have to go out. It will blister their little paws.

I've seen dogs wearing little boots but that's when there's rain or snow. The boots would make life even hotter for them in so much heat but might be an answer. They don't have to walk on the pavement, I guess, but there must be some areas where it's unavoidable.

People here have 3 routes to the dog area that is provided for them on the premises. They can go through the building, away from the elements, or they can walk through the parking lot (not much shade there), or they can go through the back yard, when they go right by my windows. Quite a few of the dog people are opting to use the back yard these days, probably because it's shady and quiet, but the terrain is very uneven, with a lot of mud puddles, rocks, and tree roots--not to mention sprinkler heads that pop up out of the ground when you least expect them.

There's even a little box attached to an outside wall that dispenses plastic bags so that people will pick up after their dogs. This place is very dog-friendly. That's probably good because the dog walkers are out there, often in the surrounding neighborhood, keeping an eye on things, circulating every day, which is more than many of us retirees and homebodies here are doing.

So at least the people here don't have to take their dogs across hot pavement if they opt for a different route. We haven't had "our" hot weather yet but it will surely come. Last year's 112' was memorable.
