Those mushrooms must be funny, all right. He even thinks he's seeing a rosebush in his back yard. Of all things.

Well, I guess it isn't exactly the same line.
So SB's off the hook. <smile>

Naw, SB probably reworded it so it wouldn't look like he stole it.
After all, he is a Sponge!! <smirk>

Oh that does it! I'm sending Squidward, one of SpongeBob's associates over to see you. He's always mad, and has 8 fists! See how you like THAT!!!

"Heaven is for Real" was the title of this post from Dr. Thrower less than an hour ago:
Sam breathed his last and slipped into the arms of Jesus at 2:00 this afternoon. He died peacefully in the presence of his family and friends. We know that now he is filled with God's love, he is strong and without fear or pain and has joined his family in heaven.

I am sorry to hear that Cherie, we are not suppose to outlive our children.

I helped a friend reprogram his computer that controls his 40 hp irrigation pump. He doesn't have the money to pay me but he has a truck farm so I got a bit bucket of fresh strawberries and some rhubarb. So we have a strawberry rhubarb pie in the oven. I should look for my Ice-cream freezer the one with the electric motor NOT the one with the hand crank. I will need extra insulin tonight.

It looks like a thunderstorm but the weatherman didn't say anything. I left the windows open last night and it was 60 degrees in the house this morning. I wondered why the dog and the cats were trying to push me out of bed this morning.

Since it is cloudy I am going to inspect the yard and garden this afternoon. Soon it will be way too hot to go outside between 2 and 7.

Since I posted about Sam's death, I was hit by another double Whammy. My Dad's PSA has jumped from 50 to 156 in the past 4 weeks. There are no more meds available to manage his cancer. Doc visit Tuesday. Mom has not been feeling well and late this afternoon we got results of tests on her. She is in severe congestive heart failure, her heart is significantly enlarged, she has effusions in both lungs and is having a lot of irregular heart beats from both the bottom and the top of her heart. And she is refusing all intervention. She has asked David and me to clear our schedules and go up this weekend for a few days because she needs "time to talk" with both of us. We are going.

When it rains, it pours. So sorry Cherie.

I know. I just need to regain some composure before I show up in Upstate NY in a couple of days. I need to be stronger than I feel at this moment.

You are made of very strong stuff, Cherie. I imagine your mom is too. You can do this. Sorry that you have to.

It's never easy reversing roles or saying goodbye or giving permission or allowing them to make the decisions when it goes counter to what you know might be recommended. It's hard being the 60 year old child or the 85 year old parents who need your help.
