There was a restauranteur (of sorts) who got ticketed by the police for removing pigeons
from the town park.
Squab was not on the menu but I don't think he was taking them home as pets.
Sal, my mom washed out my mouth with ivory soap so I should be clean and healthy.
She'd threaten Fels Naptha but that was as likely as Dad sending any one of us
to a psychiatric institution upstate.
Still smiling from that one, Sal!
When I was a child, my brothers and I had pet ducks. We used to run them around the block to exercise them until one day a doberman came out from nowhere and grabbed my duck! Traumatic childhood event . . . mouth cleansing was another.
I was "cleansed" many times for calling my bro "stupid" (that was a very foul word in our house) or telling him to "shut up" when his harassment pushed me over the edge. There may still be some soap ground into my back molars!
Cherie, sorry about your folks........ we are having somewhat the same problem with MIL Parkinson heart problems and the list goes on. When we gilt the new house we built with the thought that she would have to stay with us. On of my nephews is staying with her room and board free to look after her well we stopped at her house and I cannot begin to tell you how dirty the house was. The kid has OCD ADD and I think aspergers as well. His parents never wanted admit there was a problem so he never received treatment or counseling.
His mom my wife's sister has a B/F who said me or him so he is living with MIL.
Still dealing with MS stuff hopefully this fatigue will let up soon. I don't really want to add another pill to the many I already take. Blood pressure is still not great but they don't want to push it as if MS lets up it will go so low well remember what that did.....
Okay, when I was a kid, we had a play in school, and I played a DUCK!!! Had a little duck costume and everything. Why is it I can't remember my own name sometimes, but still remember my line from back then?

Howie played a duck in school! "If it walks like a duck,..."
Thanks for posting that, Sally. I got to watch a new version of "Make Way for Ducklings" and now I know how to open up those grills in the street too.
Virginia, no need to apologize for the chocolate! I eat Dove Promises (dark chocolate) from time to time myself. One of them has only 40 calories, and "studies show" that chocolate is good for us.
As for asparagus, it's really nice steamed with some lemon juice on it, and then you can use any leftovers the next day by cutting up the spears and putting them in a salad.
I won't eat stewed tomatoes but I'll eat any other kind. High school lunchrooms used to love serving something gross known as breaded tomatoes. Maybe they just didn't know how to do the recipe but it was unappetizing.
Well they paid the price for serving that. Remember the trash cans where you dumped your tray were FULL of it. Seems they would have gotten the message.

You would think but remember, they were just serving the food not attending school there. I'm not sure you even had to have a high school education to work in the cafeteria.

Peg, can't believe you - living on a farm and you don't like peas, stuffed peppers or asparagus. What kind of farm gal are you?
Sally, loved the little ducklings. She really had a litter.
Gary, okay, I have forgiven the bad remarks about asparagus and stewed tomatoes, but fresh tomatoes. How can anyone not like a fresh tomato sandwich straight out of the garden. You must have MS or something weird!
Cherie, sorry things are so bad with your Mom and Dad. Praying for the best for all the family.
