    OT September Chit Chat

    hello boys and girls,, hows things going,,

    a wet and wild weekend,, torrid rain showers, yuck,, enough is enough,,

    Have sleepy grandchildren spending the night with us tonight,,their daddy is in the rodeo, so we offered to watch them,,

    Everything is fine ,, I even got on my horse today,, slow ride not to far,, as hubby says,, baby steps..felt good,,


    Not much else happening,,canning and freezing was wrapped up last week,, so we are "done",, hopefully,,lol

    Peg, I'm so glad you got to ride, even if it was just for a short while. I know that had to feel GREAT!!!

          A few years ago Idaho legalized the sale of raw milk. This is one of the things that can happen. Not only will this ruin their farm business but there has been a big push to make it against the law again and this will probably be just what they need to get it removed. When we were dairying it was against the law. Honestly my kids grew up with raw milk after all if you have 600 gallons of 36 deg milk in the barn you are not very likely to buy it in the grocery store.

          Sunny and 76 deg today did quite a bit of yard work with my son. We are considering having everything ready for winter before the snow flies. Hmmm next spring not having garden hoses that froze and broke or putting the snow plow on during the first blizzard will be a new experience.

          September??? What happened to summer.

          We are considering starting a micro brewery since we have most of the equipment and plenty of space, why not? Yesterday we bottled our first batch and have another one cooking. Since we had owned a bar and we know all the bar owners they have all agreed to carry it.

          Howie interested in being a taste tester? Although we seem to have a few lampshade wearing folks that might be willing to help.

            I would love to be a taste tester Gary. I don't just drink one kind, but buy different ones to see what I enjoy the most.

              They sent summer up here, Gary. It's 85 right now and supposed to be 90 tomorrow. Back down to 85 again Wed. No shortage of heat in MA.

                Hi Gary,
                My husband planted hops this year but we lost it somewhere in the greenhouse once the farm got busy. Have you grown it?

                Beer is the only thing I drink...on the hottest days there is nothing like a beer when I come in from the fields.

                            Wow, Peg back on her horse again! Sooooo great Peg. How good that must have felt. Hate to admit this to some of you, but the truth is I couldn't ride one before I got MS or any other illness, so I feel like I have missed a lot.

                            Gary, why did you send your weather to us? We have been hotter the past week than in the middle of the summer.

                            Howie, you are now full of beans and beer. Hope its a good combination.

                              Virginia, I should be okay. I posted "no smoking" and "no open flame" signs all over the place. Both cats are outside posting signs all around the place. I only have a few more cans of beans left, then we can take the signs down.
