The button is gone or I would thank you all. What a great bunch of people.

Peg, I am so sorry to hear of your fall and your injury.

Wedding is 2 weeks from today. We got a jazz band for the reception.;) Still working on video and photos. You would not believe the prices!

Trying to find that still, calm place inside me.

Hi Ann, you getting nervous yet?

I don't think I really got nervous until the wedding day. It was a nice reception, but I think the reception lasted longer than the marriage. Oh well, I can say I at least tried married life finally at age 44.

Now days, I prefer being the caretaker of my sweet cats.

I wish you both all the happiness in the world!

Ann it sounds FUN! Weddings should be a gonzo celebration!

Howie- Guys are ofyen beginning a midlife crisis at forty four.
It's usually better to get another convertible at forty four than a new wife.
I think my dad bought a black convertible with huge fins and took up skiing that year.

Sounds like you have chosen your company and they love you back.

Renee, that may explain the hot pink hot rod sitting in the garage that I never drive!

Mal L, good points, gets my vote!

                Yup.....

I have a funny story to post today. I got a text from my daughter early today she was on her way to hospital we knew she was going down there early as one of her best friends was being induced, the first person everyone calls is nurse Ratchet, her friend was having contractions on the way to the hospital. Well it seems they were the real deal, her husband delivered the baby in the ELEVATOR she was suppose to be induced at 5 a.m. and the baby was born at 5:10. They have 4girls and this was a boy. They have what we used to call Irish twins. There is about 10 months between this one and the last kid!!

We have known both the parents since they both were little kids. Everybody is doing good. I told them that the only bill they should get is from housekeeping to clean the elevator.

Hot here another day in the 90's and 46 for a low. It has to work to get above 20% humidity meaning lots of shocks touching the doorknobs or anything metal. So far we have had .04 inches of rain since June. I saw where it was 94in los Angeles and Portland, Oregon. Agate it isn't suppose to get that warm over there.

I read where Miss Idaho (in the Miss America pageant ) wore her insulin pump in the bathing suit portion of the show. I wish my kids could afford it. Its not the pump its the catheter that costs so much. Even after insurance it isn't affordable for many people. I noticed that my last bottle of insulin would have cost $200.00 without insurance. Its not like you can get along without it.

Gary, thanks for thinking of those of us who are sweltering here in the City of Roses. I'm lucky in being able to stay home in my north-facing apartment. The air conditioning exists but doesn't need to be on unless there are several days in a row over 90-95. Those days do happen but at this time of year we tend to get very cool nights in the 40s.

Baby decided to arrive in the elevator, did he? Couldn't wait to start sampling life's ups and downs, maybe.

MalL, you're right about living alone. There are surely advantages to living with another person or persons but with a chronic neurological disorder there are plenty of advantages to living alone. You can rest when you want, eat what and when you want, and concentrate on things that may be difficult but you'd prefer to do them yourself, like fixing meals, dressing, taking care of your medicines, that kind of thing.

There are times when interacting with others in person--talking and listening-- is pretty tiring.

Welcome to our Community Mal L. We are a group of folks who have lived and communicated together for more than a decade.

Ann, I know how costly these things can be. David and I were fortunate in that the Community in which we lived and worked took care of the reception and music and everything. Our wedding in 1975 cost less than $250 including the materials to make my dress, the invitations and thank you notes and postage...everything. Music donated. Photography donated. Nurses with whom I worked made my dress and veil and did hours and hours of tiny hand beading on the lace at no cost to me. the household in which I lived made and donateed bride and groom cakes. Another household donated all the beverages for the reception. Another all the paper goods. Another all the flowers. I made my bridesmaides dresses. things are so much more complicated today. I wish you well and peace and blessings on the start of this marriage and the continuation of a long relationship. Did you call Becky about marrying in a church in the Boston area? I know she could make it happen. PM me if you still desire or need that.
