I finally got my wedding dress yesterday. Just 19 days before the wedding! And I overdid it and did not listen to my body. :( Had to get the dress to get rid of some stress. That was a Catch 22. Dress is a navy sheath to the floor by Ralph Lauren.

No honeymoon planned for afterwards. Instead we are going to a hotel in town and visiting all the new things that have been developed since I lived and worked down there.

Anyone hear from Cherie? I am worried about her. And Gary, please be well.

ANN w/o chocolate until after the wedding!

Thanks Jeanie for that post. Wish someone would hit my off button. I don't even care if it's accidental.

Howie, glad there were not lasting effects from your night time tingling, etc. If that was all it lasted you were lucky this time. No need to beat the cats too hard - save that for a bad attack.

I too am concerned about Cherie. She didn't even check in on her birthday.

Congratulations Ann on your new dress. You will be a very lovely bride, and I know you both are most fortunate.

Frog, Agate, Renee, Sally, Peg, Gary, Joan, all of you out there - hope you are well.

When I found out that there's quite a bit of tinkering going on here in an effort to get rid of the spam problems, I decided to "publish" a few blog posts. Some time ago I did them as drafts but never wanted to go public with them. However, I don't know what tinkering is being done and saw no point in possibly losing them from this board. So, for whatever good they may do, a few comments I made on books and movies about MS are now in blog form here if anyone is interested.

If they decide not to get rid of the blog feature, I'll put some more entries in there soon.

As for Cherie, I thought I remembered that she was going to be away for a while, but when I went looking in View Forum Posts, there was nothing there.

I looked up a few other people from here--most were OK but Peg's posts are all gone too if you search View Latest Posts.

The posts are probably all still here on the board. They're just missing from this particular means of finding them.

Maybe it's part of the work that's being done on BrainTalk as posted by Mike Weins?

Best of everything....really. My sister used to make wedding cakes that had a unique carrot cake layer and a yummy chocolate layer and wonderful frosting. Yum.

I was alerted by Jeanie via email that you all were looking for me. I feel like September has started out unmanageable and continues to be unmanageable. Seems like Dad is doing a bit worse every day. Not able to keep food down, getting weaker. Hospice is not coming in several times a week instead of every other week. My sister Jean, who lives a few miles from me, went up last weekend to stay for 2 weeks but spent the first 4 days KO'd with a UTI and was not really able to be of much help. I have been slammed at David's office and last week with Labor Day then the office being closed on the 4th hings piled up. I still have two files on my desk that need my attention today, and there is frenetic activity on a couple of short sales that I am managing that keep turning my attention from the here and now day to day routine. Once closed last last evening after 6 months of negotiation and keeping a young family in limbo. Another may close in a week or two (third buyer...other two got tired of waiting since November 2013 for the bank to approve the sale).

Today Elsie, our only granddaughter turns 6, has her first loose tooth and is enjoying kindergarten and helping her Dad with the lush back yard garden in the middle of Arlington on a postage stamp lot.

Sounds like there's been a mess here with spammers. Sorry that communication has been disrupted. Thank you Mike and Gang for your attention to detail and safety here.

Gary, what will you do for income now that the renters are gone and the dairy is closed? Would a microbrewery be profitable? I'm sure you would have many offers to taste test here but I did not think microbrews could be safely shipped and retain their goodness.. Glad you're getting help to prep for winter. We've had a blast of 80 and 90 degree weather lately after a few weeks of lovely 60s and 70s It is just dragging me under.

                        Howie,
Thank you for your lovely Haiku. My youngest left this message on my cell phone:
                        "Happy birthday to you
                        You're now sixty two
                        Your grandchildren love you
                        And you children do too!"
The office closed on the 4th (not because of my birthday but because it had been planned for a months) and went to Block Island for the day. We went over on a friend's 47 foot sailboat (11 of us) another 4 went over on a couple of power boats and a dozen or more took the ferry. Had lunch on the porch at the old National Hotel, spent an hour lounging in the shade on the beach before catching the sailboat home. (9 am to after 6PM in 85 degree weather.) The cooling vest with a second set of inserts was a life saver but I got my first sunburn of the season despite repeated applications of sunscreen from 50 to 100 spf. It was a good way to spend a birthday. Went out to dinner after showers and clean up but had to make it a short night because David wasn't feeling top notch after hanging out with the guys with endless beer in the cooler and rocking on the water and heavy heat and sun.

ANN, the dress sounds lovely and I am sure you will be a lovely bride that last weekend in September. Would love to see a photo afterwards if you are able to post one.

Virginia, What do you mean by not doing well and needing an off button. Hope everything's OK.

Well..Gotta get dressed, get breakfast now that david is awake, and get back to work. Oh...Tried Ampyra for almost a month. Itchy all the time with bumps and hives that last for days. No apparent help with balance or walking.

Glad to see Cherie check in, but sorry things are not better with Dad.

Howie, so you too are suffering effects of new medication! I went to my Neuro last week and he started me on some different symptom medication and so far all side effects are negative but no good effects. I will see if I decide to remain on it. At this point it is making me stupid (well make that stupider). I can't concentrate and just forget remembering anything. I know I had some of those problems before but nothing like this. I also have absolutely no motivation. Good thing I am not still trying to work even part-time.

Agate, glad to see you are following all the stuff going on with the forum servers. That is so far beyond me at this point that I can't even comment. Just glad they are here to help.

Sally, glad your DGD is helping with getting house in order. I keep thinking I will get mine done, but just keep putting it off. I get all weekly stuff taken care of, but just cannot take care of things like attic, going out searching for new things I want for guest room and guest bath, etc. Been talking about this for two years and just cannot get the energy. I wish there was someone to just come in and do it. I will call someone to help with attic, but I still have to be present to say what needs to be hauled off and what does not. I have lots of things that need to be gone through and papers that need shredding but it just doesn't get done. Is this still really me?? Sometime I sit and just wonder what happened to the real me? I can see everything the way I want it and use to keep it in my mind but can't get the energy to do it. Okay - enough of that whine!!!

Gary, I hadn't thought of the income from the renters until Cherie mentioned it. Guess I just figured something or someone else could do something with the property.

Hi to Jeanie, Renee, Ann (the about to be new bride), Linda, Gabriella and all others.

Cherie, the kid's got talent. Pretty soon, you'll have them writing Haiku.

Virginia, I was prescribed a new medication yesterday, and am still waiting. I call the doctor, then CVS, around and around, and am STILL waiting. That has been my whole day. Sounds like fun doesn't it? (You can just hear the anger and bitterness in his voice, cant you?)

                                Hey Everyone,
This Peg's son posting this for her. She fell off her horse over the weekend and fractured her shoulder and knee. She's doing well from the accident.

I just took this off of Facebook.

                                Peg knock it off!!
