Even tho I love my Mac, it was a lot easier to do picture posting
from my Dell PC. I don't find it any harder here than anywhere
else though. I can usually post any pic, if the image is online,
by just copying and pasting here, but have trouble posting a
pic from my Mac Air, because it's not sized right. Grrrrrrrr.

I've been trying for a long time to post an avatar here, but can't do it. I have an HP laptop, and love it, but some things I can't do....YET. I like it because I can move it easily to whatever room I'm in.

I have been noticing that all subjects/topics get thrown into the chitchat thread. So a lot gets lost in there that might be useful and important for people new to the board.
Virginia's frustration is one topic. I do a lot of work on my knees and really am afraid if that gets too painful. OR Howie's shaking episodes. Details would help. Do you shake when you are being still or is it shaking when you are moving?

Even though the board is slow it might pick up if we post a variety of separate topics for long enough for browsing MSers to hook up with this board.

        Maybe?

Linda, I was shaking all over, no matter what I did. It was like when you get REALLY cold, but I wasn't at all cold. It has never happened before, and would be fine with me if it NEVER happens again. Anytime something happens that's new, I question what did I do differently to bring this on. I never came up with an answer this time.

This is a great idea, Linda. I hope people will pay attention to it.

I hurt my knee early this past week. I decided that my shower needed to be scrubbed in all the nooks and crannies and the floor of it. So I knelt on the tile floor in my bathroom and did it. I have always done things like this and thought nothing of it. Don't know if I turned it wrong or if it was because of kneeling on the tile, but it swelled about twice what the other leg is. I have had it wrapped in an ace bandage this week and trying to be careful. I can deal with the pain, but what is worrying me the most is my exercise that I do to keep my muscles strong in my legs. The PT has me doing squats and all kind of leg exercises and when I can't or don't do them I can tell a difference.
Virginia, you're so right about those PT exercises. I have the same experience. If I don't keep up with the exercises recommended in PT, it's much harder to move around.

Do you have a kneeling pad? There are also things you can strap around your knees to have built-in cushioning.

:) Hi everyone. I like Chit Chat just as it is. 1434 MSers have read this months Chit Chat so far. Because so many different things can be posted here it is the most read thread. I often do not read threads that have nothing to do with me, like a thread about a MS drug that I don't take.

Chit Chat is also a social thread and we share events in our lives we are dealing with and the support you get back is very helpful. This is my MS family and I love checking it daily. Jeanie :)

You are so right Jeanie. I have no social life. But this forum allows me to have contact with others. I would really feel cut off without it.

I hope Linda (Lazarus) will correct me if I'm wrong but the way I read her post, there was no criticism of the Chitchat thread as it is. I think her point was that sometimes people come here and don't realize that information that they might be interested in seeing is somewhere in the Chitchat thread.

I think she was asking people not to be so shy about starting threads of their own more often.

I agree with Laz and Agate. Some on topic things should have their own thread,
so that we may discuss them and be more helpful to each other. That doesn't
mean that they can't also be discussed in the CC thread. (((Hugs)))

Sally is right. It just occurred to me that on more than one occasion I have talked about another thread in this one. Silly but true.

I am holding my own they started me on yet another blood pressure med (Nitroglycerin long acting) and increased the amounts I take of the other ones and it is down from hypertensive crisis to dangerously high. Am improvement I guess. I had a MRI of my back done and Dr called me and I need to go see him something about narrowing and a bunch of other stuff. All I know is when the sciatic nerve is irritated it is about the most miserable thing you could imagine.

Temps are cooling off highs in the mid 60's and higher elevations have snow. Our trees are beginning to drop leaves. I really wish that they could learn to all drop within a couple of days apart from each other. I am too old/fat/crippled/lazy to rake them I have a blower that gets to a flat area the the riding lawn mower and catcher do the rest.

Good to see you posting Gary. That was little scary! You keep doing what the doctor wants you to do!

I agree that we could possibly break some of our chitchat up into other topics and possibly start some discussions. As a matter of fact, when I started that about my knee I did consider starting a new thread, but just didn't.

Now that I have it all in this thread I will tell all of you that I am concerned. My knee is not better. It is getting harder to walk because I cannot wrap it in an ace bandage anymore. I broke out from the ace bandage and that is giving me problems. The knee is still swollen pretty bad and my leg is also a little swollen. I am going to call the Doctor and see if I can get in Thursday to see her. I need a flu shot anyway.

Agate, I had considered getting a kneeling pad and just kept putting it off. If I ever get this straightened out I am going to get one.

Gary, glad you are able to be on here. Do please be careful with yourself. You seem to walk a fine line an awful lot of the time.

Howie, every time I get real shaky I ask myself the same thing you do. What did I do? However, with me I have come to the conclusion that is just the way it is with my MS. Recently, I had an episode where one side of my face started quivering. This lasted off and on for several days - possibly a little longer, I can't remember exactly. Really scared me because I was afraid it was going to become permanent.

Hi Jeanie, Sally, Linda, Agate, Cherie and all my forum pals.
