JIMI!!! He was the greatest guitar player that ever lived. I have others I really like, but he was the best!

I agree, Howie. I like Stevie Ray Vaughan too. Are most of the cool guitar players dead?

Give David Gilmore that used to play for Pink Floyd a listen. Best of all, he's still alive. I think it was AXS channel that showed him in concert recently. I love to just watch his hands. It's like Hendrix, his movements are so fluid!

I love Pink Floyd. (Just bought The Endless River; couldn't wait until Christmas. ) As much as I love Floyd, I still think Hendrix and Vaughan were more energetic. I listen to all three often.

As for Hendrix, Electric Lady Land was such a great album, his best IMHO. As kids, we used to catch mom listening to Hendrix and Pink Floyd. She loved Dark Side of the Moon.

Leave it to Howie to come up with Milton the Monster cartoon!!

Heat wave it got up to 31 deg closest we have gotten to above freezing in a couple of weeks.

Loaded up the motorhome on our way to Boise to start on MIL house. This is the first weekend of several I guess :-( well at least it is warming up supposed to be close to 40 deg tomorrow.

Have a good weekend everyone. I will not have internet until we come back home Sunday. No Directv either. Scary thought huh? Son has downloaded some TV shows and my FIL had a huge movie collection.

                    Howie,
Concerned about even half dose with alcohol. And I am not one who has never done that. I guess I am just lucky or truly watched over.

Dad is still hanging in there. After 4 or 5 days of not eating again, the past two days he has gone to the table and eaten three meals each day without losing any of it. I think part of that is that they increased the dose of the pain patch. They were in the band forecast to get 5-6' of snow but got less than 3'. Hospice volunteers have been coming and keeping the ramp and deck cleaned off. There is enough blowing snow that it sometimes needs to be done 2-3x/day even if it is not actively snowing.

We are at or below freezing here with no precipitation for the past three days.

For some reason, I am exhausted and ache all over. Off my feed (but not off my feet...maybe I should be).

Have to read up on Lemtrada as a possible alternative to paying nearly a thousand dollars a month for REBIF now that I am on Medicare. Found out that the company can financially assist those with commercial insurance or no insurance but NOT insurance plans that are from the government like Medicare or Medicaid. Anything that is given as an infusion is covered as it is given in the hospital (technically). I hate to mess with success but what I was told would happen is not happening and It will be 5 more months before I hit the donut hole at this rate.

Cherie, that's scary about Medicare being one of the ones that they cannot help. They helped me for many years and I am on Medicare. Don't know what is going to happen to my next order. I am so addicted to Rebif that it truly freaks me out to think of not getting it.

It is so cold here. Have not looked at temperature in the past couple of days, but went out to eat tonight and wore a heavy coat with winter scarf around my neck. I know it has been getting into the 20s at night - I think the low 20s.

Howie, I understand about your arm. I am still having much trouble with my knee that I hurt weeks ago and went to the Doctor about. I still do not know how I hurt it. However, I do not sleep walk, so that I do know is not my problem.

Gary, I feel for you and your family and what you have to do this week-end. Tough job, both physically and emotionally.

Peg, glad you are still hanging in there and fighting to get back on top. My money is on your winning.

Nuthatch, cute dog picture. Right now I envy your California weather.

Jeanie, hope you are doing well.

Renee, did you get your new appliances? If so, did you have to lift one little thing? I hope not and I hope they work well.

Agate and Sally, it is always good to see you two.

I just watched a show, and did you know the rocks American astronauts collected from the moon were stolen? Most were recovered, but some were missing, and there's a $10,000 reward for them. How low!!!!!! They belong to us all.

The appliances arrived. After 6 weeks of fretting over unannounced intrusion
they are here and they are an immense improvement.
The fridge is for a human, not a family of sea lions, I can see everything in there.
This will reduce waste and entice me to play around with what I can see.
The oven with it's window and light is calling out for a pie, cake or casserole.
This is good. I stopped at Trader Joes today and bought some fun food.
                          Better eating, better health.

One of a couple of jitter-provoking situations out of the way.
                          Hey, this AIN'T BUFFALO!

When blizzards happen and you have heat, in general it isn't hard to find
them funny. I remember how good how it feels to dig out 3 feet of snow,
my golden retriever frolicking blissfully nearby.
We northerners take it as both a jolly nuisance and a battle against Goliath.

                          We always win.

I lived in Buffalo, one year, about 50 some years ago.
That was enough for me. Never been back...lol!!!

                              Hi Virginia,
