I'll take your word that she's sitting on them since she's not transparent!

    Thanks Sally!

I wonder if they ever get tired and just fly away? You know eagles might get cranky like some of us. Such patience. A human mom can get up and walk around and carry her baby with her so she doesn't have to worry.

I think they're hard-wired to be good parents.

She just raised up, just a little, to rotate the eggs so each side gets some of her body heat, then spread herself out on top of them, then just sits and always looking around for any trouble. A good mom.

There are good reasons why there are two parents. They can take turns babysitting.

              Or eggsitting.

If I am correct, I believe this would be a new Dad, since old Papa Ossie,
died of old age last month?? Harriet is the Mom. I haven,t seen him yet, at least
                I don't think I have..lol

I saw the two eggs--so these birds aren't just faking it for the publicity!

Sally, according to the Website, the original male was named Ozzie and died last fall. So this is a new male, apparently named MI5.

One of the eggs may have hatched--I can't tell for sure.

I must have missed the fish unless it was that white thing sticking out of the nest, sort of at 1 o'clock. It's not there any more.

But I saw the baby! Harriet (or was it MI5?) moved just a little and out popped this new little bird. Mom or Dad shoved it right back but it clearly wanted to explore.

Yes, Agate, that is where the fish is (or was).

I'm so glad to know that was a fish. Since it wasn't moving I was concerned.
