Ha no not exactly. But if they are late in the season they will move nest sites away from the irrigation roads. Idaho Power puts rest stops on the tallest polls. After the first year I farmed down here I learned how to make corners with the electric fence. If they are too tight they will hook baby owls, hawks and eagles in the crossover. Needless to say this doesn't bode well for the birds.

More than once while coming out of the barn in the evening a Screech Owl would go off. After all the noise in the milk barn it would be really quiet and when they go off it will scare you about half to death.

Yes, funny to see them without a parent, unless there's one nearby outside nest keeping an eye out.

Oh, mom & dad back again, both seem to be doing some nest renovating.

Here's the link to the Sapsucker Woods Pond in Ithica, NY live web cam. Not much to see yet, it's still snowing! Despite the snow there are a few mallard trying to keep warm or swimming about. This cam is one to bookmark as it will get interesting in the upcoming spring.

The Texas Barn Owls are active right now. Won't be long until egg time!

Love the barn owls...funky looking creatures! Funny how they stand on one leg too, like parrots, when they're sleeping!

Dad is sitting on the Decorah Eagles nest. There's quite a bit of snow around but he's taking it in stride.

Sally, Dad was covering everything up. There are supposed to be 3 eggs there?

There's a second Decorah Eagles nest, called Decorah North. This eagle couple must be hoping for a large family because the nest is huge:
