A neat shot of the 3 chicks, plus I have no idea what kind of animal they've caught for food up against the right wall, but it has a thick tail, so I don't think it's a rodent!

It looks like a rodent to me. Those chicks don't look like owls though!

I hated that and just stayed away! Of course it died . . . they should not be kept in captivity! Birds are meant to be free IMHO!

Here is a live condor cam with a chick. If you scroll down, there are a couple of videos including one Q & A session where you learn about the condor program and interesting things about condors. Did you know that they lay only one egg per season? No wonder there are so few around!

I'm still watching the skies for a condor. The Ventana/Big Sur release area is not that far away, plus some were recently released in the San Simeon/Cambria area which is even closer to me.

        A face only a mother could love....LOL!

Looks as if Sally won't be getting an owl. It's not allowed, and owls seem to be a bit on the obnoxious side, shredding everything in sight and making a lot of noise all night.

Google news said a webcam of a eagle showed it feeding a cat to its babies today, is that your eagle?

The Pittsburgh eagles are among those being watched here, I think. I found the video by Googling it but didn't particularly want to watch it.

Eagles being raptors, they will eat cats. Good argument for keeping cats indoors or at least out of the reach of eagles, raccoons, and other predators.

The first picture is of the falcons. Dad was there, feeding the three chicks and mom too. Sweet, until I noticed the blue banded bird foot in the pile of shredded fresh meat he was feeding them! It's a dog-eat-dog world out there, or should I say a bird-eat-bird world!

The second pic is of the trio of tawny owls . . . so cute!

I wonder what an eagle would do with a can of cat food? LOL!

Just watched the pbs owl special...really enjoyed it! Wished it had provided more info though, would have liked to learn more details, lifespan, intelligence, personality, social behaviors, etc. But it was very interesting. They really are beautiful animals, that's for sure.

Nuthatch, love your screenshots! I'm so in love with all these babies!

Probably have a problem opening it--but these birds seem to be pretty smart!

Pittsburgh eaglets sure growing up fast. Must've been the cat they had to eat (that I couldn't bear to check out)!

Just watching my eagles who ar still sticking close and yet way high up in the
branches. Afraid to go too far from mom n pop. I know how they feel.

I've in a funk yesterday and today about how everything Is so hard now on my
own at the NH. I'm feeling so helpless and alone. I want my life back. Don't
                                we all?

Even opening a bottle of something to use is almost impossible. Grrrrrrrrrrrr!
