Tonight I notice my feet could feel the coolness of the floor, and I can feel more sensation on ankles when I rub them. Could be my imagination, not sure.

Great! It is probably not your imagination. IVIG works immediately. If it is going to help you the benefit is immediate.Originally posted by BBS1951 View PostTonight I notice my feet could feel the coolness of the floor, and I can feel more sensation on ankles when I rub them. That's why your neuro set up the schedule he/she did. My aim was always to fill the tank before it hit empty. When the IVIG was always in my system I did well. When time between infusions was too long I could feel the benefits waning.
I do rituxan now. When time is too long between infusions I start to relapse. We just fiddled with that schedule to avoid down time.
Glad all has gone well. Most infusion centers are cancer centers. At least around here. Did you find most patients were cancer patients? The community at the center I use is a spectacular one.
Best wishesLinda~~~~

Hi,Originally posted by BBS1951 View PostIt was nearly empty, maybe due to it being Monday morning. The two others looked like they had cancer, though.
How often did you do your IVIG Laz?
I did my infusions every other Monday. It usually takes an hour for a 10g bottle to be infused. I did 7 bottles each time and did that twice a month. So, I did 140G each month.
Best wishesLinda~~~~

Next time I will ask about how many grams I get. Am wondering if they start out smaller and build up.
There is not a standard dosage. I never met anyone who got as much as I did. At the time it was an MS researcher named Volmer at Yale New Haven who put me on it. But, I got 7 bottles every other Monday for 8 years. That was 140g each month. Infusions days lasted 8 hours. I limped into the center and danced out. It was that clear a benefit for me.

I have felt very well all day today, best I have felt in at least a year. Worked 6 hours, grocery shopped, cooked supper and did payroll, and don't feel a need to lie on the couch for hours,
If it continues the next couple of days, then I will assume it's the IVIG, and not just a random fluke.

Were you left with a bruise at the IV site?
Enjoy the extra energy!
