At one time I read up on lazy eye (amblyopia). Although it causes the vision in that eye to blur (usually), the other eye compensates, and it isn't regarded as a huge problem--just something that gets noted on a person's medical record.

For those born with lazy eye there are exercises that are supposed to help correct it. I have an impression that the exercises don't work so well with the other kinds of lazy eye.
    SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.

Not for me, I noticed it in the bathroom mirror one day. I have 24/7 double vision when I look to the right, but not when looking straight ahead, it's more pronounced when I'm too warm.

I'm wondering when the Ophthalmologist is going to give me a visual field test, I saw him months back and he did an eye exam. I currently can't afford my new glasses. I'm wondering if he's waiting for me to pay for those first.

Peter had amblyopia as a child and had his "good" eye patched to make the other work harder. It worked, but when he is tired, the eye drops. <oh no! Someone catch it!>
