      Thank you, Diana.

I wish I knew how to help you find the people you're looking for. I find people occasionally by doing a Google search for their names or if I think they might be on Facebook, I search the name there.

Thanks Diana, I have a little contact in Germany through a Niece and a great Nephew. I will notify them of the name, though it is doubtful that they would have any way of finding them without the city they are in.

        Thanks for coming on.

          Hi Diana,

I just searched posts here, but there is no record of Vicky ever mentioning either here, unfortunately, although the Board was reconstituted in 2009, so does not show any older posts than that.

          My condolences for your loss.

I checked with my family who have connections in Germany, but without knowing the city they do not know of a way to help. So sorry Diana.

I looked on Facebook for a Max Hofmann and a Danielle Hofmann. There are many Max Hofmanns in Germany and a couple of Danielle Hofmanns. It would be hard to know if any of them are the ones you're looking for but if you have access to Facebook, you might want to give it a try.

Vicky was on Facebook herself, and there might be some helpful information on her page.

I'm sure that Len truly appreciates your help. Thank you for stopping by and including us in the loop.

I searched Vicky's posts in the MS Archives, searching for "Germany," but came up with nothing.

I'm so sorry for your loss, and I'm sending prayers for peace and comfort to you, Len, and all of Vicky's loved ones.

                  Love & Light,

Lenny and Diana, I'm sorrier about Vicky than words can express.

And I'm glad that the moderators haven't closed her account here so that you can let us know more details if you'd like. There are surely those here who will want to do something in Vicky's memory.

Lenny here again. Thanks for all the kind words. Arrangements are still incomplete, but will be handled by Tighe, Hamilton in Hudson, MA. I hope to post details when we get them. I have access to her FaceBook page and will post details there as well.
Vicky also had accounts on Kurmudgeons' Korner and Another MS Board. I made similar posts to those boards but those accounts have been closed now, which I regret but fully understand. Anyone who wishes to cross-post these details to those boards (or any others she may have been active on that I've missed) may do so with my thanks.

Vicky's MS was progressing slowly as it sometimes tends to do. The cancer diagnosis was just last year - it was advanced but had not spread anywhere else and had responded well to radiation. She really didn't like talking about it. Things were looking about as well as could be expected, then at dinner she started having trouble breathing and collapsed. EMTs got here very quickly (the ambulance barn is just a block or two away) and did all they could before transporting to Marlboro Hospital, but she never came back. I'm beginning to get my head wrapped around it; my sister and her husband brought my mother up and they are helping a lot.
I have a friend with a cousin in Germany; they have located Vicky's brother and niece. Thanks to everyone here who tried to help too.

Lenny, thank you so much for thinking of us, and coming on to give us this information. We have been really sad. One reason is because she was posting until two days before she died and we had no idea anything was wrong.

I do hope you and all the family are holding up as well as possible. I am thinking of you at this time and sending my deepest sympathy to all of you. I am so glad you were able to contact her family in Germany.

We hope when you feel like it you will post her obituary or any other information you can share.

Len, thank you for the information and update. I'm so glad you were able to reach Vicky's family in Germany.

Please know that Vicky was a special person here, and she will be greatly missed. Did she have a favorite charity? I'd like to make a donation in her name.

My thoughts are with you during this very difficult time.

Oh, Lenny, this hit close to home for me, I'm so sorry for your loss. My life partner passed away on March 11 2017 and I'm slowly returning to the world of the living.
