Here is Vicky's obituary, posted with Len's permission:

Only registered and activated users can see links., Click Here To Register...

Please note that you can post on the tribute wall there at the Website.

As noted in the obituary, a service will be held on May 5 at 11 AM followed by an informal wake at home. Len says that the house isn't wheelchair accessible but as the weather forecast is for pleasant weather, he could keep it outside for quite a while and/or provide help with stairs as needed. He says that the gravesite where the brief service will be held is about as wheelchair friendly as possible, and says that any member of this board would be welcome.

Anyone who would like the home address can contact me by PM.

Len, I'm sure everyone here is grateful for your willingness to share this information with us and for your gracious invitation.

Thanks for post this Agate. I was wondering as I am sure many others were, what was going on.

Mensa gal! Howie, no wonder she could keep you on your toes!

Thank you, Lenny and agate for the follow up. So lovely to hear more details about Vicky's earlier years.

Suze-Q, my former next door neighbor and very good friend was a Menza lady. She was so smart. I don't know why she hung around with me. She is now living in Atlanta and we talk on the phone and on FB.

Having a high IQ myself, Documented by neuropsych testing for MS, I can tell you why we of high IQs hang out with people of average or above intelligence. It’s quite simple. I do not seek friends who can have highly intellectual conversations. I have books for that. I seek friendship with people who share my values and morals, who are genuine and forthright, who are fun to be with, who are trustworthy. I imagine you are all of those things Virginia.

Yes, several friends have high IQs, but that’s not why I am friends with them.

As I thought of Len and Vicky's loved ones gathering this morning to bid Vicky farewell and celebrate her life, I hoped that it was a beautiful day in Hudson.

Thank you for shining your bright light on us Vicky. Your light will always gleam in our memories.

I understand that Vicky got a lot more support and enjoyment from her cyber friends than from her real-life friends. I'm sure many here can understand that.

Several people from this board have posted a message on her tribute wall.

I hope that Vicky is at peace and that her loved ones will have plenty of support at this very sad time.

I miss that quick wit she had when she would make a retort to Howie. There are many other things I miss too, such as asking a question and before I knew it she had pulled up an explanation or picture of something I was referring to. I still don't know how she did it. I too got the feeling that she enjoyed her cyber friends more than most other people. I don't know how far out she and Lenny lived, but I think I remember her posting that she was away from things. I am not sure she drove anymore.

                            Lenny here again.
It's been a week since we laid Vicky to rest, a little over three weeks since she passed. I just got around to checking her tribute wall and teared up again. Many thanks to all here and on the other boards for their recent kind words and long-time support.
The weather last Saturday was very nice, if a little windy; the speaker was also very nice (if a little windy.) There were about 15 people there, a nice mix of people I work with and local people we both knew. Most, and a few more, came to the house afterwards. It was about as nice an end to a difficult time as i could have asked for.

This is probably my last post to the board. I'm (not very) active on FaceBook, in case anyone wants to connect or follow up on anything.

Many thanks and good luck to all, and thanks to the moderators for leaving the account open.

I was just thinking of Vicky this morning.

Grief is hard work. I wish you serenity.

I'll always miss Vicky. Thank you so much, Len, for letting us know about the service. I'm sure there are many of us here, including me, who would have been there if we could have.
