We got our first heat with humidity yesterday. Fortunately, Peter put our airconditioning units in Mon and Tues ahead of his trip to DC. Bless him.

Last night we did a grocery run to a large store that has hot food. I got some treats to help w meals while Peter is gone and I got some walking in in a safe, airconditioned place.

He flew out this morning and has safely arrived and is having a falafel lunch at Union Station.

Went from winter to summer here: we had all that snow just 2-1/2 weeks ago; we turned on the air conditioner yesterday! I went out for groceries today and temps were in the high 70',s.

I'm glad you got that blood pressure cuff, Howie! Are you supposed to check back in with the doctor after you've been on the meds for awhile? I hope you get it under contro!l.

Tom cat is getting ready to go off to one of his four camping events. I have to dry apples make beef jerky, and bake shortbread during this next 10 days so he can go and play. I already booked a home side to take care of me, and a car litter boX cleaner to help me tend the furcats.busy, busy...

Howie, I am so proud of you. You listened and you did what needed to be done. I just hope this medication you picked up today takes care of this situation. I had been concerned when you were getting dizzy.

She's finding it hard to type with just her left hand but hopes to be back here soon.

Also, she's been concerned about Howie. Looks as if there's another mother hen around here! The more hens, the better.

I'm glad you called your doctor and are getting back on a med that you know works for you. I'm praying your BP comes down to its manageable level for you very soon.

Oh, and FYI ~ Reba McEntire is the first woman to portray Col. Sanders. So, if you send us to Col. Sanders, I have a feeling she'd probably just feed us, like the Mother Hen she is!

The weather has been crazy for sure. And wet. The weatherman reported last night that most places in the viewing area have had 1/3 the annual precipitation (rain and snow) in the last 35 days.

Broken wrists are bad. Peg, speed recovery. Agate, unlike you I chose the surgery. Supposedly it speeds up the down time and avoids complications with arthritis. I don't know about that. Luckily it was my left wrist, not the right.

Parsi, did you move back to the US ? I see it says Midwest under your name.

Parsi will answer too, I suspect, but yes indeed, she and husband have moved back to the US, and live just a couple of hours from me here in Wisconsin. Parsi and I know each other from "way back" when we both worked in a nearby library. :) Neither of us knew that MS was lurking in our future, though...

Yes, moved back in 2014 but didn't change location in profile until a few weeks ago. Now that DH is retired we decided it would be easier on us. We could stay until DH could get citizenship. Then we could come and go with more ease and not have to plan our trips for certain times or lengths. He's now waiting for the citizenship test and interview. Our last trip to Iran was between Trump's election and his inauguration. We weren't sure we could make it back here.

BTW Cat is the one that directed me here.
