My worst was 216/138. My best was 169/110. And that's on 2 BP meds. I stopped a third med in about 3 days because of bad side effects. Let the clucking begin!

I'm not implying that you should give up any of your BP meds! I am suggesting that you change your diet and lifestyle.

        Cluck! Cluck!

It depends upon where you live. Flint, Michigan. Love Canal (Niagara Falls). India. Nigeria.

I was a reference librarian in my youth. So, I truly hope this theory isn't correct.

Where did you find all of those clucking hens?!

              Howie ~

You're very welcome. I hope that you will implement the suggestions in the link. I'm sure you will benefit. I did. Just try to create a regular bed time and rising time, and no more all nighters. Sleep is also quite important to maintaining a good blood pressure. I don't have that option, but you do!

              Peg ~

Sending healing prayers and will be thinking of you during surgery on Thursday.

Howie, I was one of those hens Ann posted!

Now about Uber. I am glad this conversation was started because I have also wanted to know about them. Since my cell phone is a flip phone (which I love) can I still use Uber. I probably could not track them on it, but could I call them? Is there a way I could put an app on a flip phone so they would have my credit card number?

I have spent much time in libraries, so therefore I think we have solved the problem of cancer. Now if we can all collect our money for this discovery, we could put it to use by finding a cure for MS.

Agate, I was a library aide in 5th and 6th grade; treasurer of the Library Club (not a varsity sport) in high school; and opened and guarded the nursing school library one semester. Am I doomed? I also drink water.

Virginia, I think you need a smart phone. It is cheaper to get a smart phone and use Uber than for a family to get a second car w its upkeep. If there comes a time when you can't drive or don't want to, it is a good option, depending on where you live.

I've heard mostly good things about Uber.

Peg, your surgery is Tuesday? Will you be admitted tomorrow? I hope they can patch you up as good as new.

What a day! I went out to work on the pink car, and just grabbed the biggest ring of keys in the desk, and locked the lock to the front door. I tried all the keys on the garage, and none worked, so I was going to come back in here, and get some more keys.

Guess what, I didn't bring the keys to the house with me. My cell phone was inside, my car keys and house keys were in here, along with the garage keys.
I just sat on the front stoop, and cussed myself for being so dumb.

So I went next door even though his car was gone, and his wife was home, so she called a locksmith for me. 45 minutes later, the locksmith came, but couldn't get in without tearing the lock to pieces, so I ended up paying him for his time, and for a new lock.

I did get in the garage finally, just checked the battery charger, and it was hooked up, and the battery fully charged. I locked everything back up, and am worn out from doing nothing but waiting all day.

I'll try again after my doctor visit is done and this blood pressure is down. I hope you all have had a good day, or at least better than mine!

You've had a day and a half, Howie.

This mother hen's solution to this kind of problem (please don't call Colonel Sanders on me):

--Hide an extra key somewhere, a place where nobody but you would think to look. Under a doormat is a very bad idea, for instance.

--Leave an extra key with some neighbor you trust if there is one, preferably someone who tends to be at home.

--And don't call those chicken pot pie people either, please.
