Or they mix all too well. One cat who presided over my household took a whole tree down while nobody was home.

There it was on the floor with all ornaments smashed. The cat, however, was doing just fine.

When I was under ten, we had a cat that got into the cooling pumpkin pies!

Ann, I bet you still wanted to eat those pies.

Yes, Virginia! I loved my mom’s pumpkin pie. Just think of that work gone.

Today I went to the Brigham and had my yearly mammogram done. Surprisingly pain free.

Today I walked over to get my hair done and then walked up to the P.O., CVS, and thrift shops. I stopped into City Feed for a coffee. I try to find the glimmer in every day but today was dismal. The exercise does help with mood.

Another local salon a little closer to my home is closing. It’s going to be rented by our local book store, Papercuts. That’s good news.

I heard from the hospital and the mammogram was good.

The day here was very dismal. It rained most all day long and is suppose to tomorrow. I had nail appointment, but canceled it. I have had earache this week and just did not want to chance being out in this. Earache was better today, but I felt worse for some unknown reason. Had to force exercise (but I did it).

Maybe see a doctor about the earache? Sometimes it's fairly easily treatable but an rx is needed...

We lost cell phone service yesterday. Have to go outside to get bars. DH Working for many hours already with Verizon on the problem. No end in sight so far. Grrrr.

:) Parsi I love your tree. Virginia I hope your ear is better. Welcome to the new lady going to a new doctor. (I can't remember her posting name ? Farmgirl?) I did nothing all day today. Played some Solitaire on the computer and laid down for an hour.

I have been doing the exercises daily and I do feel a slight improvement but still unsteady on my feet. I hold on good and make sure I have a seat right behind me. I look around my house and so many things are needing sorting and tossing, but I can't do it yet. I'm taking vitamins and antioxidants but not much energy.

I just ordered a refill of my LDN. AC is still on here. It looks like we will have another warm Christmas. Jeanie :)

It was 57 here in Boston today, the 14th of December. So strange.

We went and got my MIL and took her out to lunch. Then we went to CVS, Trader Joe’s and Stop & Shop. Somewhere in that last store I thought my legs would stop working.

I have been on the couch since I came home at 3 PM. Just so tired. I know that you all know this tired - resting doesn’t actually help.

Peter made the NYTs Spicy Mushroom and Noodles soup for dinner. We were trying it for the first time. It was good.

I think I have a fear of going without food or something like that. Yesterday I ordered from Instacart. I forgot one main item that I wanted so I went this evening to the new Food Lion in my neighborhood. Since I had not been there before I ended up having to look around at everything. I bought some sliced turkey from the deli to make sandwiches for a couple of nights. I bought 3 containers of soup, that says it is Panera soup. I got what I went after which was V-8 juice, picked up trash bags and then honestly I just couldn't help it - a six inch cheesecake just flew in my hand. I also picked up a frozen dinner that I had not tried before.

About the cheesecake. My former husband who lives in Wilmington told me that he just loves these little 6 inch cheesecakes from Food Lion. However, he said that one would last him 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. I just had to try it, but unfortunately it will not last me that long.

Ann, I am turning into a real soup person so the Mushroom and Noodles soup sounds good.

Well, got my notice from Social Security out of the mailbox this evening. After the raise we got, they upped the Medicare Part B, then my Medicare Part D comes out of my Social Security because I requested it to save me trouble and that went up, so I am going to get $10.50 less next year than I did this year. My Medicare Supplement Plan F went up by $11.50. It is a total of $43.00 less than it would have been. I have my Plan F coming out of my bank account so that has nothing to do with what I get from Social Security.

Ah yes, impulse buying. The cheesecake just sort of materialized for you. I do know how it goes.

And I know I have a fear of going without food.

Maybe it's one of those primitive animal instincts. That cat Sam I'm sure has a fear of going without food, for instance.
