Newcervie, sorry to hear about your MIL's condition as I know with what we are going through with my FIL. It is really hard on his wife but she doesn't want to move him were he could get constant care because home is familiar. My cervie spine issues seem to be the C2-3 area too.

Karen, are you getting drenched again? I was watching a college football game in a deluge and wondered if it made it over to your area. We had a nice day here today and I got some outside work done in between time watching football games.

Megan and Audyn are doing very well as both of them are progressing with no troubles so far. Tyrel is really thinking about his future when he writes home. He has broken down how much to save each pay check, how to get his degree while he is in, and what to apply the savings to once he gets out unless he makes it a career. Penny is fighting a cold and sore throat but is much better today after 2 days of it. I hope she is doing much better tomorrow. Not much else going on here.

Aww I hate Penny is sick. It seems to be a bad year for colds already this year I hope she will be feeling better soon. Tyrel is a smart guy most people his age would not be thinking so far ahead.

What game were you watching today? I know USM had a home game and everyone was complaining about it being a mess due to the rain. It sounded great on the metal roof,,,I wish I could have slept during it.
I have really got to come up with a new nicname this one is bugging me.
Hope you both have a good weekend.

Karen, I saw highlights of the USM game and it was really coming down. I remember coaching in one game like that as every other game but our's was postponed. The opposing coach and I [our teams were both in the top 5 of each of our class rankings that year so it was a big game] were tough coaches that thought football was meant to be played despite the conditions except for lightning. I focused on the Big Ten games as that is what gets covered the most but I also saw the Georgia TN game and the OSU v AZ game. I can just hear the rain on a metal roof it is almost enough to make me want one on our house.

I had a sleepy day after not sleeping last night. I got up a couple of times but couldn't stay awake very long. I hope to sleep tonight soon so I can be up and about tomorrow.

What a rainy cool day we had today in our area. It was an up and down day with my pain levels general up but getting some relief for a couple of hours. Audyn was taken to the doctor and had gained .5 lbs in 2 weeks so she is growing properly although she has thrush but has an antibiotic to take care of this common infant malady. Emery is still the proud big sister who loves her little sister to death.

Speaking as a little sister be sure to remind Emery of that when she is trying to blame everything on her in a few years!

I hate your pain level has been up. It has been rainy here all weekend but today is very nice & feels great. I have always loved fall best of all the seasons. One of these days I'm going to take a trip to the mountain this time of year to see the leaves. Living in the ''pinebelt'' we do not get the full effet.

I hope the rest of today will be less painful for you.

Karen, my pain has been up and down today so I have had some time with lower pain levels. Our leaves haven't turned yet but up North just a bit they have really started turning. Here in Southern Indiana it is mostly hills and trees so we have some beautiful places in the fall and our little town is in the middle of a national forest. I hope Emery and Audyn turn out to be those sisters that are like twins doing everything together and for each other. It will be interesting to see how they are just being 2 years apart.

It was a very cool day with some rain but not the hard rain we had yesterday. Have a good evening Karen

Emery won this year's beautiful baby in the 18 mo - 2.5 yr old from our county newspaper. It is a cool win and she gets $50 dollars with the award. My wife's dictate of no more pets in the house fell by the wayside as she talked to me and then got a kitten. She needs some companionship on the days I am sleeping so the kitten will be a good thing for her as she loved the cat we had before. The kitten is a sweetie and a lover so far. Emery came over to see him and she played with him the whole time getting such a kick out of how small he is. Audyn is opening her eyes more and getting to be a squirmy worm when she wakes up as she wiggles and stretches for minutes before opening her eyes. My mom wants to come down in another week or two before Audyn gets too big. She is a cat person so she will like the kitten too.

Congratulations to Miss Emery! We will be seeing her in the Miss America pagent in like 2032.
Awww had I know your wife wanted a cat I would have been more than happy to send you one of mine. I'm glad she got a kitten I hope it will bring her lots of joy. Ty, my siamese one, thought that when I was doing my exercise for my hamstrings today that I was playing with him. Every time I put my leg down he would attack. He thinks if a person is in the floor they are there for his entertainment.

It was so nice out I spent an hour just sitting in the backyard swing, I would love to live some place that was like this temp year round. Hope you have a good night.

Hi Karen, good to hear you had nice temps to be outside on the swing. It was very cool here as it didn't get above the mid 50s which is a big change from the low 90s just a couple weeks ago. The kitten we got is a short hair cat as we couldn't deal with all the hair from the long hair breeds. He has decided I am his buddy as he sleeps on me except at night. I am hoping Penny can bond with him this weekend as I am not a cat person though I can accept them [sorry just a big dog person deep down]. Emery's beauty career will end with the local contest as her mom won't get her into the contest and she is too shy with strangers; I knew you were just kidding.

Not a lot going on here other than the kids and granddaughters came over which was a good time. Emery loves the kitten and doesn't want to let him go.

I'm glad your not looking at putting her into the pagent cycle. The ones where kids are just kids is cute but these where they dress the little girls up like adults is creepy IMO.

It sounds like the kitten does not care if your not a cat person. I'm a dog, cat, stray anything including people type person.

Have you ever been to a chiropractor? I was watching a video about spondylolisthesis & oh man what they did to that woman's back made me almost sick just from knowing how bad it had to hurt. One of the ladies that helps with my mother in law is going and keeps wanting me to go but after seeing that there is no way.

I hope you guys have a nice Sunday & Penny gets to bond with the kitten....if she can get it away from you.

Karen, I agree with you about the ones in pageants are making their young daughters look like older sexually girls and I don't like it. Cats always seem to like me and I like them but I love certain kind of dogs and that is about it for me other than people that need help. Early in my adult life I used a chiro and this past year I say one. I wanted to see if accupuncture would work for me and explained that no way any part of my spine could be twisted or pushed on. He was doing a examination on my sore parts of my back and twisted my neck to put it in better position and I instantly had horrible thoracic spasms that scared him. I didn't go back because I couldn't trust him not to do something I said not to do. I think he believed if he could release my neck stress it would help not understanding how my spine reacts to things like that. We went through all my past issues and surgeries so there was no need to not listen to my limits.

Penny has been able to bond with the kitten although he jumps up on me when I am sleeping and sleeps on me during the day. He sleeps in bed with Penny all night and she loves that. The cat is always with me during the day and mostly laying on me although we do play some. He has been a good addition for us as I don't feel alone and Penny likes the attention when I am sleeping away with her here.

I hope you are having good days to get out in. Our temps have really dropped and I am lucky that it still gets into the mid 50s during the day.

Okkkk....I'm staying away from the chiropractor for sure! I have had some PT that are that way about not listening. What I love are the ones you give your history to then when they start touching you that ask something stupid like..did you know your ribs are touching? ....really you don't say??!
Well I was trying to get some sleep but a social worker woke me up. How funny is it that they make a visit to check on my MIL and do not even go look at her? Our gov at work. It makes me mad because if my back would behave I could have that job,,,and I would at least check on the people.

Glad things are working out with the kitten. We are still in the 70's here during the day so it is very comfortable. I ''think'' I'm going to get to getaway Thur night & go visit my family till Fri afternoon. I'm so looking forward to a break!

Karen, I slept most of the day yesterday and just now got on the site. Good to hear you are staying away from the chiro and if I hadn't been told this guy was so good I never would have tried chiro again. I did have good results before surgeries but knew I could do it again and he agreed not to do any adjustments but went ahead anyway. You just can't be sure when they have you on that table. What is the point of a social worker if they don't check up on the person? It is unbelievable but that is gov't work for you.
It has been mid 50s here and high 30s at night so Fall is here. I hope you are able to get to your "getaway" this weekend. Enjoy your break.

The point of the visit is for me to sign their paperwork saying they were here so that they get paid. In return I get the help that comes 3x a week but them actually serving a purpose...no. And do not actually ask them to help you find a resource or something that would fall under their job title they look at you like you grew another head.

I'm glad you got some sleep. I hope your pain will behave so you can have a good weekend. How is Tyrel doing btw?

I am going to leave around five this afternoon and stay gone till Friday night. It will be the first night I have had away from this house since Christmas & I am so looking forward to it. If anyone calls me any ugly names before I get out of here today I may not come back.

Karen, enjoy your trip and take advantage of the time away. We just got a couple of letters from Tyrel and he is doing fine but said he couldn't believe how much running he was doing. I tried to warn him before he went in but sometimes you have to go through it yourself to understand. He is in a great group as it is the first time they have put a company together made up of all special forces candidates. Tyrel said they set the base record for the obstacle course and the DIs are starting to not be so critical because they are the best group they have ever seen. He is looking forward to the rifle range in a couple of weeks.

It was a nice day here today and I got out for my massage which has helped a lot with my pain levels. I wish she could do more with the muscles high in my neck but despite working on them they stay tight. Not much else going on other than enjoying the company of the kitten.
