((((Jan dear)))), I have read some of your most recent post. I am so sorry things have gone the way they have, but some times God has plans and he does not always give us a heads up, but I'm sure it is for a good reason.

I always read your signature, that tells me where you are on the spiritual side. This has probably been a very hard day for you, but you said last night that God had Hanks back! and I'm sure he has your's too. I pray he will hold you both and help you stand when you no longer can. He does have a way of doing that and I know YOU know that!

You take care of Jan and know we are all here praying for the both of you. I can't sit for long periods of time, but I wanted to give that time to you tonight. Please take the strength we offer to get you thru whatever comes. The prayers are many and the love is ever lasting.

I love you dearly, Julia ((((Hank & Jan))))

I know you all are pulling for me, just as I have you all in my prayers. All of my friends here are always asking if there is anything I need and I can't think of anything. I appreciate them asking though, just as I appreciate every one here. I pray for God's loving and kindness to rain down on all of you!!! I made up that tagline

Satan tried again... I was leaving the gas station Friday and as I walked around the front of my truck my left foot caught the "bumper block" you know that block in front of parking spaces to keep vehicles from going into a building. I fell and landed on my left knee, this was about 4:30 . I just went home instead of visiting Hank at the Manor. About 7:30 my knee had swollen to about double in size. I called N (sister in law) and she took me to the ER. Nothing broke, just a bad bruise. Now I am hobbling around on crutches. But at least I have been getting better and got my sorry donkey in the truck and made it to church today wearing shorts, it seemed like it would be a easier than trying to put long slacks on. Happy to report I caused no damage to the station's concrete parking lot!!!

Hank was discharged from the hospital Friday PM and doing well.

I have graduated from crutches to cane to my own stream. I must go to the concrete and tell it I'm sorry for making it cry...!

After visiting Hank this morning, I notice he had no socks. I had brought him some when he first got there. I went and bought him more socks and he was confused when I left @ 2 pm. At 3:15 he caledl wanting to know why I left him at the casino! He told me that he had no money and I told him that he was at the NH and that they would feed him supper. He then ask a "guy" to talk to me. It was the NH director and he took charge of Hank or had a nurse help him. This morning Hank was in a near normal frame of mind.

Jan,from everything I've read.....afternoon & evening is the worse time for loss of memory. no idea why. and clothes going missing seems to be a regular occurance also.

appreciate you keep us updated. this has got to be very hard for you. (((hugs)))Pati

I am planning to take him to church with me Sunday. I don't know if I will regret it or not. I know he will not remember going. He has been there just about 3 months. Any opinions?

                            It's called sundowners

Jan do you put his name on his socks too? Sometimes stuff disappears in those places and socks are notorious for disappearing anyway.

I hope that if you decide to take him he doesn't become severely upset on the way back. I don't know how you plan to get there but I wouldn't want him to become irate or possibly violent in the car. Most of the NHs I have seen have some kind of services there on Sunday. Maybe you can attend with him there. Make it a Sunday thing?

I am also planning to visit on Saturday and give him a haircut. He wears his hair super short and it is a matte of running the clippers across his head. He thinks it is great that he has a personal barber.
