    Jeanie,
You know you have our prayers and support for healing for both of you. I am so sorry that it did not work out for us to get together when we were in FL. Hopefully next trip you will be feeling better and we can try again.

Plane was delayed a little over an hour and we got home to heavy rain and temps in the upper 40s.

      Update

:) Hi everyone, David saw a doctor today and he says he has 4 tumors and to remove them all would not leave him enough liver to function. He says he does not know if they have been there awhile or what they are. David got the impression he did not want to do anything for him. David will keep his appointment with the VA doctor on the 14th and see what he suggests.

Bill (82) who helps Mother was with his brother today while Charles had heart surgery for a bad valve and a hole. Mother's church friend helped her.

Cherie sorry I could not meet you while you were so close. Sally glad you are home and I hope you have a speedy recovery. Agate no more falling. Ann thanks for the prayers. Gary I hope your back is all better.

My foot has gone down a little but my cold and cough are still hanging on. I have decided I am only getting my Mother and David's Mother gifts. Everyone else will get money in a card.

Please keep us in your prayers. Thanks, Jeanie :)

So sorry Jeannie. I will be praying for the both of you. It is hard not to be really concerned when hearing something like that. The 14th is a week away. We will be thinking of you all. Keep us posted.

Agate, sorry about the fall. Glad it was not worse.

Sally glad you are home. Boy did we miss you. Don't do that again - you hear!

I also had a little fall yesterday. I can tell that I am getting more unsteady. I wish I could find a way to strengthen myself. I hit my face on the nob of my TV cabinet. It scared me, but then I got alright.

Cherie, glad the trip to Florida was good and you are back home safely. Sounds like a lot is coming up with the MS cruise and all that you are going to be involved in.

Hi Peg, sorry you can't shoot your very own deer - but aren't they just a little too pretty to kill anyway? Actually, where I am is heavily populated but there are so many deer that we see them in peoples yards, they eat the gardens, they walk across the road and can be very dangerous.

Will talk to ya'll again at a more reasonable hour.

Virginia, too bad you fell. Falling isn't getting to be the style, I hope. I also hope you won't have a bruise or any other after-effects.

Jeanie, I'm so sorry about your DH! That second opinion sounds like an excellent idea. So often doctors are wrong in their predictions. But maybe some conditions are best treated with a "wait and see" attitude--or no?

Sally glad that you are on the mend. Have you requested your cabana boy yet? I am available ha ha ha.

Still cold although it has gotten up to 23 today. I have never quite gotten used to the sun shining and being so cold. No snow predicted for at least the next couple of weeks. I am still bothered by my back although it is getting better. I have some things to do around the farm that only I can do and I have been putting it off. Cleaning the manure is not so bad when you are in a big tractor with a cab and heater. Its just getting up and down I suggested that my wife bring me my lunch and warm drinks and she said..... well never mind what she said but its not gonna happen.

I just realized the high light of my day today was waiting for the UPS truck. Not delivering Christmas presents but my mail order prescriptions. I need a new hobby. MIL is in the hospital again her atrial fibrillation is out of control again they took her by ambulance straight from the Dr. office. She is doing better this morning. The doc changed her meds and waiting to see how she reacts. She may need a pacemaker but she is adamantly against it as she says they destroy part of your heart and you cant ever live without it. There is not arguing with her so my daughter is going to have a talk with her should it become necessary. Handy to have kids in the medical profession. I might even get a discount on my nursing home.

Howie haven't seen you around much. And that would be due to????? Wild womens and whiskey I am sure.

              Be healthy everybody.

Grassman had a really hot health aide from Peru.
Tall, dark and handsome- a lady killer. Maybe we can
call Vancouver and and import him for SALLY.
                A useful cabana boy.

Speaking of...my mom had a PT come in for a while.
He was a bit older than the usual PT but he had retained his good looks and
french accent... and had tales of working on the Cirque du Soleil athletes.

Oh boy did his visits make la mama very, very happy.

You're hired Gar. So far all my RN, PT and OT have been pretty little chicks. They must have got me mixed up with the gentleman across the hall.

DD talked to car seat installer and thinks I should think about this a little bit, before making a decision. It's expensive and lets face it, I really don't go out or want to go out that often. I asked God. Waiting for his direction.

                                Me too......

Happy Birthday Howie. Its that time again? 103 hmmmm you have almost caught up with me.

I dunno Sally. The installation is what gets you no matter the type or model. I have done 2 or 3 over the years and its no piece of cake one time we ended up having to redo the underside of a van it just wasn't strong enough to support the sideways stress. Granted it was a friend and we didn't charge her anything but my son commented that if we were charging by the hour it would have cost more than the van. And the mfg said that it wasn't necessary to change the support but I don't believe it. As a shade tree mee-can-nick I am no engineer but I had visions of it bending and collapsing. Again I'm not engineer I'm just adding my 2 cents. And I do have a bad habit of building ANYTHING so that you can drive a bulldozer on it to change the tracks. And as everybody knows I don't play well with others and why just bolt it together when I have a perfectly good welder in my shop?

Finally it is warming up a slight breeze and it is now 35 deg. A chance of snow next week. My wife remembers this date in 1972 as it was 25 deg. below zero and as a kid she could not figure out what no one was walking to school. Growing up in an orange grove I remember that all the farmers panicked if it hit 29 deg. and us kids could make 50 cents a piece lighting the smudge pots. And the noise of the wind generators. Its been a long time since So. Cal. had any of these I guess.
