Update

:) Hi everyone. David and I were at the VA at 6:30 this morning for his biopsy. We did not get out of there until almost 3 PM. The doctor feels sure he got a piece of the tumor. We will not know for 3 days.

If we hear anything I will post. Thank you all for the prayers. Jeanie :)

Agate I agree that we do have some loyal people on here. There are times when I do not know what I would do without this board. We all appreciate all that you have contributed, especially since the board came back up.

Jeannie we will be continuing to pray. I know you will let us know something as soon as you do.

Just wanted to drop in and say thank you for being here. You all being here encourages me to continue the fight when just about all my courage is gone.

Hi Sally,

I'm here in the corner. Howie put me here. SO and I have tracheo-bronchitis- a virus w that cough that comes every time you try to talk or lie flat. I told him to look it up. He said that all he can find is articles on Kennel Cough. It last 3 weeks. He is in his 2nd week and I am 4 days behind him.

:) Thanks everyone for today's laugh. I am so glad y'all are all here. When I am down I always feel better even if all I do is read this thread.

After over 8 hours at the VA yesterday I went to bed at 9:15. I did not wake up to get out of bed to stay up until 4:30 this afternoon and even then feel tired. Now it is 8:30 and I cannot keep my eyes open. I do not know how Cherie does all she does. I would be in bed for a week.

I am thankful though for the things I can still do even if some of them exhaust me. I probably need some of that chocolate. Thanks everyone for being here. Jeanie :)

Well, what I want to know is how can you make fudge and not eat it? Gary I know you are diabetic so therefore you cannot afford to eat it, but that would be hard.

Sally, glad you are feel merrier. Now I am a little down. I think I went to such lengths to keep myself up that finally I just sort of crashed.

Thinks will get hectic for most of us now I guess. I think almost all of us overdo with just trying to keep up and be a part of things. Otherwise we feel so left out.

By the way has anyone heard from Lady? We use to see quite a bit of her but haven't in a while. I wonder how she is doing since the CCSVI procedure. I miss her and others.

Hey all! Didn't realize time had flown so quickly snce my last post. It's been three days since the Biopsy. I wonder if Jeanie and David heard anything today.

My eye seems pretty much the same as it did when I came out of surgery. I can see distance but nothing on the computer or to read without reading glasses and the eye feels like it has a dry contact lens in it. Could be the drops I have to put in several times a day...dry eye is a listed side effect. I see the doc again in the morning for an follow-up post op check. I have a niggling feeling he might have put the right lens in the left eye. Normally that would not be a problem as most people have the same size and shape in both eyes. I do not. The left eye is short and wide and the right eye long and narrow so very different lenses had to be ordered for the implant. If that is the case, at least it can be fixed if caught now and I intend to broach the topic in tomorrow's visit in a way that will not put the doc on the defensive.

We had our MS Dream Center Holiday Party today. More than 70 people there including the Board of Directors and a couple reps from the NMSS. Another PWMS brought his auto harp and bongos and I took my flute and 12 string guitar and we harmonized well and did music for about 45 minutes as folks came in and found their seats and again for a half hour of sing along after lunch was over.

Rain, wind and 50 degrees here. Not the typical weather for this last day of autumn. Tomorrow winter begins and the days will start to lengthen.

Hi Virginia - I was thinking about you. Peter and I have minimized the hectic part of Christmas and I was a little sad about that today (and sick).

So, I put on an all Christmas radio station and have a little bounce in my mood if not my step. Dominick, The Italian Christmas Donkey is familiar to me from growing up in an ethnic soup pot in Pittsburgh. Very cheerful. It might not be your taste but music in general might help.
