See, I've been so good lately, but I just can't help myself sometimes.
I always look at every new post on this thread. All the pictures of baby birds and owls are really cute. As a kid, we lived in the sticks, and had to drive on a small gravel road to get home. Beside the road was a dead tree an owl had put a hole in, or the hole was already there, and it was almost always home. It was very cool to see. Must have been a male because you never saw a mate, or chicks.

Sal, I can't get the penguin cam to work. All I get is black!
Here is the link to the heron cam in N.Y. No nesting activity but shows a pretty view of the pond and daddy heron. It's so green and wet there. So brown and dry here! Guess he hasn't found a suitable mate this year. Just like a man, waiting for a younger, new model!

Nuthatch/Joan, when you go to the penguin cam, at the bottom right, put your
curser there and when Best pops up, hit the 240p. My Mac won't work with the
Best setting, but will work with the lowest setting. Weird but true.
This is the first Snowy owl live cam in Alaska, I have seen.
They nest on the ground, so they have to be ever vigilant.
And it is daytime 24/7 there right now.
She has chicks..how many? Adorable!!!
Even though it's not birds, I love watching the brown bears in the rushing river in Alaska, fishing for salmon. There are lots of sea gull type birds flying around the fishing bears . . . maybe looking for some leftovers?
The neat thing about these Alaska web cams is that you can watch them day or night cuz it's light 24 hours a day at this time of year in Alaska!
