Hi everyone and Happy New Year!!

We spent the New Year holiday at my MIL house as we needed to finish up packing and we had the final estate sale :-( . Just to give you an idea of the stuff they had collected there were 17 40gal totes of fleece throws. They had a 16 foot enclosed trailer which I bought to be able to renew the license I have pulled it home twice loaded to the roof and you still cant see the difference. My next job it to arrange for Goodwill to come and load out the rest. They don't take small items (like something smaller than a refrigerator) unless they are boxed up. I have found out that boxes are like crowns of gold. THe last time I moved you just went to the grocery store and got however many you needed. Now they bale up the boxes and sell them. I always wondered why Home Depot sells moving boxes and now I know.

Its been cold and snowy out here.

I am a bit sore today I tried to jump off the bed of the trailer (less than a foot high) and I found out that there is something else I cant do. My son had a whole pile of Igloo coolers and that broke my fall...... sort of.

And so it goes from our end of Tobacco Road.

P.S. I need to check my profile as my Birthday is Feb 3rd not Jan 3rd. But thanks anyway everybody. By the way it will be my 28th birthday.

It's 6:27am here and 41F. Not bad. But I see it's 2F where my son is in Wisconsin, and yesterday way below 0.

I moved the wrong way yesterday and hurt my ankle. Nothing seriously so I had hoped it would recover overnight. No such luck.

I spent much of yesterday near tears or feeling tears run down my cheeks.
                    Feeling like an open wound.

                      ((((renee))))

Funny you talked about temps, the other day I searched online, looking for best places in the world with the most moderate temperatures year-round.

Tears can be good. Life with MS and disabilities ain't for the faint of heart, it's not an easy road, that's for sure. I admire you and your strength, your intelligence and wry wit. I had to google the aria you mentioned the other day to see what the h-e-double hockey sticks you were talking about. As I suspected, it was vastly fascinating. I use music to help me too, but mine's more in line with "itsy bitsy spider". Lol. I learn from you all the time.

I also know that you can count on the sun to come out to "...dry up all the rain...".

I think we could all use a vacation and some sunshine.

Parsi, I hope your ankle feels better soon. ((((hugs to all who needs one))))

Gary, are there any antiques amingst the clutter in your familys home? Or any decent furniture? Sometimes second hand stores will come in and buy stuff from estates. Yeah, you wont get rich on what they offer, but a little cash is better than none at all, which youd get just calling in goodwill.

How is every little thing today?

I just looked at the weather forecast, and they are calling for a high of 50. Not too bad, but I won't be breaking out my thong just yet!

But Thursday's forecast....27 for the high, and 21 for the low! What happened? Needless to say, I won't be going anywhere that day. I'm just glad the S word hasn't been mentioned....yet!

Renee, it is better to cry than not to be able to as you mentioned. I went for a long, long, time unable to shed tears, even when I needed to. It was awful. The sun will come out for you again. Talk to us and your sister that wants to fly off to some far off sunny beach. I also listen to music and read.

Parsi, hope you are healing fast.

Howie, didn't know you had put your thong away for the winter.....had pictured you still running outside after the cats in your thong.

We're buying tickets for Tampa tomorrow.

And we'll worry about the hotel as soon as we have those hot
little flight confirmations in our chilly paws.

                                8> yay.
