Knitting or crocheting can't be so hard if I can do it. Some hats and scarfs I've crocheted are shown here--they're for a project donating hand-knit and crocheted items to the homeless and needy people locally.
:) Hi everyone. I hope y'all all have heat. Our temperature last night in West Palm Beach was 35. (It set a record for this date.) I wore a jacket to bed and had two blankets on. My heat is set to come on if it goes below 72 in here. 72 is cold to me. I do not know how y'all manage temps in the single digits and below, I KNOW I could not. A lot of tourists are here and they take up all the handicap spaces everywhere I go.
My sister's daughter has two darling boys 5 and 4 years old. Their father, David Wyatt was a drug addict so Rebecca divorced him several years ago. He got off drugs and he remarried a lady with 3 children and they had one together. The other night David and the lady he married were killed in a wreck in TN. He and his wife and Rebecca remained friends. Six children lost their father and 4 lost their mother.
I have been to two animal shelters and saw a couple of dogs I would consider but I still have not found someone to come here to train a dog to use both doggie doors so it can go out into the back fenced yard. I also have to get a small dog as the doggie door going out of the house to the screened porch is small. I don't want to put a bigger one there as someone could climb through it, since we have 3 gangs in our neighborhood. The doggie door going off the porch is bigger. Jeanie :)

ANN,
So grateful you checked in and let us know how you are doing (sorry you are not up to par).
Gary,
Grateful you are not changing ADs on your own. Dangerous and unpredictable under the best of circumstances.
We were single digits today with high winds and wind chills in the -15-20 range. Worked about 4 hours today (the longest day at work since the end of January). I am feeling better but not Wonderwoman by any stretch. had my first Rituxan infusion yesterday. 7 hours in the infusion unit. After 3 and a half hours they had to stop the infusion and give me IV Benadryl as I was itchy and rashy. That helped. Not a bad drug to receive all in all. No nausea or headache at all. Next infusion in 2 weeks then 6 months if it seems to be helping and no relapses. Last Rebif was a week ago today. Just can't afford the nearly $2000/month copays. No help to be had with Medicare when one owns Real Estate as part of Retirement plan.
Another clear cold day tomorrow then another storm coming in Sunday with heavy snow turning to rain. Storm drains are being uncovered all around here to handle that. We've got about half the snow that Boston area has gotten so far.
Dave spent about an hour on ladders and roofs today hacking icicles off and opening down spouts. He has been keeping snow pulled off the roofs but we are forecast for another 4-6 inches over the weekend with 2-3 additional inches of rain which will freeze as an actic blast comes in tomorrow night adding to weight on roofs. No precipitation yet but it was forecast to start now.
BTW: Sally, nice idea to start the "My MS Story" thread
Renee,
I understand all too well. Back in 2001-2004 I was pretty much homebound for same reasons and when I could get ramp shoveled, the scooter still had to go on the back of the car and got all yucky from road salt and sand. Then I got the van and could put it inside and that was better. Now (Thank goodness) I don't need the scooter and can even get out and help shovel. I don't know why the turnaround except I have pushed back hard against being chair bound and never seemed to be able to accept me in that state for very long. I am very fortunate to have been able to have pulled out of that place and it scares me sometimes to think I might end up back there.
