Joan, it took me a year to remember my phone # and even now, it's in my head with the area code. That's how I remembered it so that's the way it is in my head. For a year, I had it written on a piece of paper I kept in my billfold.

But my SS number has always been in my head, I guess because I remembered it at a young age and it never changed. Hard-wired as they say.

Sorry I compared Joan. We are all different in our MS bodies. I'm going to try to transfer to the other rehab, that has a better PT program and isn't so short staffed.

Ann, yes the sofa came, DD loves it and I'm hoping I will.

Jeanie, you are amazing. Praying for your continued strebgth and for Jamie's painless and peaceful days.

Howie, i loved mowing the lawn when I could. Too prode in my yard.

Parsi, how is our DSon doing?

Joan, shopping without a list is a male thing I think, unless the little woman is sending you to the store, and SHE made a list for the man.

Ann, I don't have a cell, and you couldn't give me one. That's just me. I wonder how many lie in a graveyard because of someone talking and driving? I do use sticky notes if I need to get something I don't usually get. But this time I kept a writing pad and pen beside me all week, and wrote things down as I thought of them.

Sally, you can come and mow my yard if you want, you know, for old times sake!

Well, as soon as I finish my coffee, I'm grabbing a ride on the chore train. Later!

I'm back, I didn't kill anyone, and no one killed me. I got everything at the store. Perhaps women are on to something making a list.

My SSN and my WI cell phone #, as well as my husband's Iranian cell phone #, I do have memorized. The SSN was used as the student # that we had to write on tests when in college and grad school. The WI cell phone is the same as the one I used when I sold AVON (so gave it out a lot). And I call my husband often enough.
However.... sometimes the numbers just disappear into a hole in my brain. :(

But you know if I had a store, Sam would run it. It would always be overstocked on sliced turkey, and cheese, and cat treats. Come to think of it, that's about all I got today!

Hi All!!! I can't get online much at this rehab, so here I am for a short visit.
PT was pretty good today. I'm moving it and maybe getting a bit stronger.

I hated grocery shopping, but now I find that I wish I could do all the things I used to hate to do. LOL!

Glad your sister is doing well or better today.

I live right near Baystate and they always take good care of me too.

This certainly is not an easy time for any of you.

Howie, you really should send me your email address so I can send you my little book, "The Story of Catterville". Or send me a street address and I'll send you a hard copy: ralph131@centurytel.net. I think of you and your cats whoever I think about Ric the Archeologist, one of the main characters in the book, and how he is treated by his cats -- with loving firmness.

I continue to heal, ever so slowly. Have to get back to my exercises, and get my legs stronger so that I can transfer more confidently. Then I hope to get rid of this catheter. That will take awhile, and a lot of patience, I'm sure.

Anybody else who wants to read Catterville, just email. If you can open a Microsoft word document, I can send it electronically to you.

That you so much Cat, but I don't read anything these days. With my vision, even reading the computer is tricky. But thanks for the offer!

This would be a good time to bring this up. Reading large blocks of text is hard for me because I read a sentence or two, then my eyes will jump a sentence or two ahead, or I will read the same sentence several times. It's an MS thing that I hate more than balance or numbness or anything.

And Cherie, you know I love you, but your last post had a giant, unbroken paragraph that took me two days to read. I know you had more important things to think about, but everyone try to keep that in mind. And I don't want special treatment, I just wanted to mention it.

I read everything posted here, and you are all family to me. I want to read everything anyone posts. Cherie is my friend, and I know she will understand. If not, I'll put the cats on her!

I know how that feels, Howie, and I hate it too. I used to love reading books but there's no way anymore.
