Thanks, you're so sweet! No, no more books. Maybe there will he a new chapter of Catterville at some point, once I get my eyes fixed at get back to my miniatures. (Every house mentioned, and all the characters mentioned in the book are in one of my dollhouses that either I made from scratch, or rehabilitated. So new stories may emerge as I clean up the 9 houses currently in my house -- I havent' really touched them for 4 years, now). Chittamou is my Tom Cat -- TC is an archaeologist, and also takes part in fur trader re-enactments during the summer. Angie is his "country wife" (re=enactment, not real); Gracie Clawson is patterned after a real Gracie Clausen, who indeed ran a bar and brothel; Ric the Archeologist is the archaeologist who trained my husband, and for whom my husband works. Most of the named cats are patterned after cats who have owned us over the years. All the rest are made up. "And now you know the REST of the story!!" :)Originally posted by Jeanie Z View Post:) Cat Dancer I just finished reading "The Story of Catterville". It was so interesting that I could not stop reading. You truly have a gift. Thank you for sharing it. If you have any other books you have written I'd love to read them too. Thanks again, Jeanie :)

A Brief History of Time by Steven Hawking was the last book I read. He is a Theoretical Physicist. That's the kind of strange stuff ol' Howie reads. Sam and Seven like the Cat in a Hat books. I just wish they could read, and not move their lips.

I think there for a post or two Howie and Cat were playing "Who's Cat is the Smartest".
Peg, sorry about your horse or I guess I should say your dear hubby's horse. I know that it is very sad for both of you.
Gary, hope you get to feeling much better and get this think with kidneys cleared up.
Jeanie, glad you went to Longhorn. I enjoy their steaks. I am planning to go out to eat tomorrow night with brother and his wife. Got a hair appointment on Tuesday and another business appointment with lawyer on Thursday. That one I dread. I have never met him before, but need someone to go over some thing so I am taking a chance and hope he turns out to be a nice and wise person.
I have a friend that probably got back from California today. He and his wife moved there about 13 or 14 years ago. They are moving back to North Carolina. They carried one cat with them and are bringing back four. He is driving a car with two and she is driving another car with two. He posted a picture of the cat who went out there with them and she was standing with her paws on the dash looking out the windshield. Looked like he had a couple of pillows for her. He said she has been riding shotgun from California.Virginia

Good news about your sister, Cherie.
I need to answer a couple of inquiries:
We survived the duststorm. I really don't know how long it lasted as I didn't look out. I had heard sounds like a thunder storm (thunder and wind). Then there was the distinctive presence of it in the air when we tried to sleep. Some people had had windows opened and had a mess to clean up. Nothing unusual at our apartment. In the morning friends said they could again see a large area of the sky black. My husband said another dust storm was expected that night but it never materialized as far as I know.
My son is better and going about his life, but on pills. He took his family to Madison for the weekend. My gd was running around and enjoying herself on the capital grounds.
A couple of days ago a post appeared on my Facebook newsfeed about cats: In ancient Egypt cats were gods and they haven't forgotten it. (or something of that sort). In a reply I did a call out to Howie and Cat Dancer. Did you two catch it?Last edited by Parsi; 09-07-2015, 07:53 AM.

I don't think I did, but I just woke up. Let me get a cup of coffee in me and get this brain working again.
.................................................. ......
Parsi, I still don't know if I did. My memory is short lived, and Facebook moves SO fast. Many times, I see something interesting I want to come back to, and I never see it again.

Parsi, you have had me confused all day. I went to Facebook, and in their search bar typed in Parsi, and it came up 0. I don't know your handle there, so there's no way I could read anything there you had posted, and know it was you. I'm Howard or Howie anywhere I go on the net.Last edited by Howie; 09-07-2015, 03:26 PM."Given the millions of billions of Earth-like planets, life elsewhere in the Universe without a doubt, does exist."
