Ah, Peg, I'm sorry. But you'll remember what you've told me more than once -- we Midwestern girls come from tough stock.....you'll figure something out and move on...

Going to the wound clinic Monday, first post- op visit and first full week on the wound vacuum, and first week with the colostomy. It will be interesting to see what the doctor (who is also the surgeon) thinks...

Aw...Peg. So sorry . But even more grief for her husband and kids and adoptive parents.

        Cat,
Best is wished for the wound care visit tomorrow.

I got the whole extra hour of sleep last night and feel pretty good for it! Dave and I watched a Movie on Amazon Prime last night then went to bed about a half hour later than usual but did not get up until just after 8 this morning. Today, I almost feel like two housekeeping chores rather than one small one might get done. A bit better every day! Going back on Rebif tomorrow.

Peg, I'm sorry you've had such tragic news. People reach a breaking point sometimes, often for reasons nobody knows. And they aren't thinking about all of the grief they're causing among those who cared for them.

You have to love this extra hour. I've been sleeping and sleeping ever since the PT fixed me up with a neck roll thingy--a foam cylinder to wear under my neck at night. She also suggested using it for lumbar support during the day, and that helps too.

Cat, I hope you'll be able to celebrate your first week after so many changes happening all at once. The first week afterwards is probably the toughest, and here you are!

Sorry Peg. I think we all have thought about it at some time in their lives, but not acted on it. To think she may have been able to suppress those kinds of thoughts through the right med. Very sad.

Do you have another treatment lined up if the Botox doesn't help given some time to make sure?

I'm watching Halloween 1,2,3,4,5, and maybe 6 if there is one, on the Sundance Channel if anyone cares for those type films. One is just about over. I made coffee, so I'm ready!

Knock yerself out, Howie. You'd have to hold a gun to my head to get me to watch them!

Me too, Frog. Years ago I thought "Psycho" and "The Birds" were scary and don't feel inclined to watch them again.

For Halloween I've been getting to know a couple of neighborhood cats. One is orange and the other is black and gray. They've been hanging around the last couple of days, pretending to be decorations maybe.

We had about 80 kids come to the door last night between 6:15 and 7:45. Went through 8 bag of candy and 4 dozen pencils and have 14 pieces of candy left. I never celebrated as a kid (mom thought it was a "pagan" holiday). We let our kids dress up but they never went out till early teens. Now they have their own traditions with their families that differ from what I allowed and I think that is good.

Went to see the new Sandra Bullock movie "Our cause is Crisis" this afternoon. Dave thought it was great. I don't like political stuff but it was well done. I would not recommend it. He would.

:) Hi everyone. Peg I am sorry about the suicide. My father shot one of my brothers and shot himself and they both died. He left a note saying he had solved all the family problems. It just created more.

Andy came and helped me give out treats. We only had about 50 this year. I had Andy used all the Resses candy first since I don't eat those. I have one Reeses left and about 20 Snickers and about 100 Tootsie rolls. The gate we put in the front doorway worked to keep Lacy in while the treaters were being treated.

Cat I hope you are healing well. I like your new screen name "Uppitycats". I cannot believe we are in November already. So far I only have one gift bought for Christmas and no energy to go shop for more. I may just buy some gift cards to a restaurant for David's relatives. I will give my sons and families money in their stocking.

I went out Friday to the dentist and grocery. The sodas I drink are on for buy one get one free, so I will go back tomorrow and get some while they are 1/2 price.

The dear friend who took care of my brother and mother until they died is now in assisted living. He cannot remember what he did an hour ago so our daily conversations are without much substance. If I ask about his doctor appointment he cannot remember if he saw the doctor. He says he is the only male in the building and there are not even any male nurses. He says they are all old ladies.

He says the food is okay and that he does not miss cooking. I wouldn't either. Take care all. Jeanie :)

Cherie I am glad that you are feeling better.

We have not had Trick-or Treaters in 25+ years. We used to take our kids to a friends house in town and here the school always does a big thing for the kids.

We had a warm front blow through the last couple of days but our first hard freeze is suppose to be on Tuesday. And our temps will return to more normal levels for this time of the year. Means snow anytime. SIL is coming over this week to change the snow tires over. Seems like we just took them off.

Nothing new in these here parts. We don't even have anything to vote on next week. My BP is still all over the place. It is better (not as high) but it gets too low and I feel lousy. I will be glad when they finally get it evened out.
