Well I've been gone all day. Did anyone miss me?

I've been pondering a question I've had this weekend. Why is this holiday called Labor Day, yet everyone is off work. Shouldn't it be called Non Laboring Day? And working on a tan should be out too.

I was going to stay in, but they didn't fill 2 scripts yesterday, so I went for that, and while they were filling those, I went to the store to get everything I forgot to get yesterday. Now I'm set for a while.

So have a good evening, and don't work on anything.

Howie, you remind me of my husband. When I had to work one Labor Day he reminded me that Labor meant working, and that I was not to complain.

I don't remember if I had to work most labor days or not. My last job, you only got off New Years if you wanted, but didn't get paid for it. The boss lady said it was a drinking holiday, yet her husband, the REAL boss and owner, drank 24/7. But regardless, I liked working for them. How they stood each other, I don't know, they were exact opposites.

Renee has a job and a cat and never indicated she was planning to be vacationing anywhere for months on end. Vegas is not exactly a place you'd go for your entire summer and Paris is a place one could scarcely afford to go for that long, nor is it very physically accommodating for those with mobility issues. I'll bet it would be hard to get around for months on end, even if renee could afford to spend almost 1/2 a year there.

I am still worried.
