      Junior Albatross looks so shaggy--it's hard to believe he's going to look like his parents.

              Nice to see these birds doing their job.

              I don't know if this is the place to mention it but today I saw a robin, and as I went closer to make sure it was a robin, I saw a second robin.

              They're back!

                    the West End Bald Eagle nest on Catalina Island is a live cam. Very pretty view too. No eggs yet, but I see the eagle!

                      Really miss watching the the Great Blue Heron nest. They are not nesting there any more, but you can watch many videos of while they were here. The first video shows how the cam was set up, followed by various videos of the eggs hatching, the adults defending the nest from a few nighttime owl attacks, feedings and seeing the chicks (5) grow. Really amazing videos, one after another. Enjoy!

                          I saw a great blue heron once in person. Magnificent bird! It was standing on the edge of a lagoon in a park on the south side of Chicago. Quite a surprise to see it there.
