Jeanie, Ann is right, but also the amount of other things that you normally do not do would add to your stress level and your overall fatigue. However, as Ann indicated I too wonder if there is a UTI going on.

I do hope you get to feeling better. It might be best to think about skipping Andy's band practice tonight. I know you really want to go, but Andy would understand that it is just best for you to rest up for tomorrow as much as you can. You've also got other things planned for the first of the week. It will be a lot of going after entertaining at your own house tomorrow.

I am so sorry you are having such a hard time. You still struggle on and get your nails and hair taken care of and grocery shopping done. I admire your courage, but sometime you just have to think about yourself. I hope you get some rest and feel better.

Use cat and me as an example of a hidden UTI that created neuro chaos. Pee in cup, wait 3 days for it to grow out.
My instant read out was normal. The 3 day grow out showed UTI

If I'm very ambitious I'll hook up the little artificial tree today. All I have to do is get it down from a shelf and take it out of its box. I've mopped one floor and plan to run a vacuum around slightly.

My son, DIL and grandson (9 months old almost) will be here tomorrow. The grandson will be getting several onesies to wear and won't be at all interested in them, I'm sure, but his parents might find life a bit easier if he has a few more outfits. It's what they asked for, and it's what they're getting. Aside from that, I'll open up soft drinks or sparkling grape juice (red or white), and some packaged snacks, and we'll observe Festivus or Christmas or the solstice together, a little early, because they'll be with my DIL's family for a holiday dinner on Christmas. I wasn't asked to this one and so didn't have to make excuses. It's being given by my DIL's brother and his wife (and 2 kids), and I've never actually met them.

All the rest of you here put me to shame, with all of your holiday preparations!

I find getting used to this new phone so daunting that I haven't even got to the point where I've figured out most of its features. Any spare time I have goes to looking at the Dummies book about Android devices and playing with the phone.

I tried crocheting a hat for the grandson but I have a feeling that when I try it on him, it's not going to fit right. I'll redo it, and the next time I try it on him, it probably won't fit all that well either because babies change so fast.

Babies change almost daily. But your hat stretches some, so it might do him for awhile.

I just made my final run to the store this year. Now I'm just waiting on payday on the 3rd.

          Have a great day everyone.

Agate, sounds to me like you are being really smart today. This definitely counts as activity. If you feel like getting your tree out your Grandson will probably go for that if it has lights. He will soon be walking.

            Howie, you enjoy your evening.

:) I am feeling less stressed now. Jim came and did the outside lights, fixed the loose gutter on the carport, and vacuumed and mopped my whole house. I called my friend Liz and she is coming to help me fix the stockings and look in the cabinets for the small cups for eggnog.

Andy called and he is coming about noon tomorrow. I took an Advil and some of the pain is eased. I have the Christmas radio on and it is nice to hear Christmas music. It was hard to ask for help but I am glad I did as I do feel less stressed.

I got another call about a classmate who passed away. That is four friends in a month. So sad. I am happy they are with God now and have no pain. Jeanie :)

Jeanie, I've lost several long-time friends in the last couple of years too, and it is very sad. Then today along came a card from another one--I hear from her once a year--and all it says is that her COPD is getting worse but she hopes to live to see the end of "Game of Thrones." Christmas cheer isn't some people's style, I guess--but I do feel sorry to know she's not doing well.

I don't mean for this to sound sad, but I don't really have any friends. I have people I've known in my past, and people I care about here, and my brother and sister whom I love, but no "friends".

Perhaps my definition of "friend" is too exclusive. I was raised as a loner. I was content being alone, still am.

Howie, I am fast getting that way. I have given up my book club some time ago and now I resigned from my meditation group. However, they let me know that they were making me a member emeritus and that there would always be a chair for me. They told me that we should not close that door, and that I could meditate at home at the same time they do so that we would still be together.

Jeanie, so sorry you are getting so much sad news. I am very glad the boys are once again coming through for you, and that you are less stressed. They are good sons to have. I guess you just raised them right and they love you.

This disease brings so much loss and aloness.

                        Agate, your holiday sounds good.
My kids live far away and wont be here for the holiday. I am too sick to be able to have people over and too sick to go to others’ homes.
The holiday means little to me anyway, so it mainly is another day to relax.

I am sorry that so many are alone at Christmas. Peg, I know you have Farmer Joe and your kids and they really probably don't care if you decorate. But you miss your Sister and for that I am truly sorry.

Sunshine you have your DH and I bet you talk to your children by phone over the Holidays. Relaxing is not a bad thing to do.

I had to tell my SIL that I could not take a dish to our Christmas this year. All she had that she wanted me to take were things fixed in a 11 x 13 dish and I can't carry a hot large dish like that down the steps because I have to have one hand to hold on. So, I am only taking the gift that we are going to put in a pile and draw names and then steal others gifts if we want to. I am driving myself, which will be the first time since they all moved that I have driven it. That is a little anxiety provoking because I have only been there one time.

One of my brothers wanted to come and get me and bring me back home, but that would mean he would spend over an hour each time. So about 2 1/2 hours of his time would be taken up carrying me back and forth. I decided to try it on my own.

Christmas Day will be spent here alone, but I do not mind. Like Sunshine said it is another day to relax.
