I agree Howie, except that we expect you to outlive all of us hens. Who else would we cluck at if not you? Therefore, the kitten could have a long and happy life. Anyway, I bet your Sister would take your beloved kitten.

Mom is almost 94 and has a cat, Howie. She got the cat in her 80’s after the last one died. I think she’d go nuts if she didn’t have Gypsy to talk to - some of her best conversations.
Peg! I want radishes this year. So many varieties, oh my!

Haha. That will be Howie too. Howie is so tough, I'm sure he'll outlast several cats yet.
After all, Howie does his own dentistry, pulls his own teeth, and can't be bothered with doctors as a rule.SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.

I would do without doctors if I could. And just looking, I see my doctor before the next payday. I'll bet that vampire will want to do a blood panel. That's all she ever does. I have barely seen her face to face.

Yeah, you're right.
Well, it's pasta day, and I just finished cooking, and all the pans are clean and put away. Now it can just simmer a few hours, and it will be time to eat.
I made coleslaw yesterday, and that and bread, and beverage, and that's my meal for today.
Tomorrow, I need to get gas, and take some trash to the dump.

Ahhhhh, that pasta was good!
It's 86* here, and I've had enough. I got the AC ready, and turned it on. It feels SO good in here now. I guess Summer is really here!

Howie, it is 85 here - outside. Has not gotten that hot in the house yet. I am sure I will have to turn my A/C on later.
Well, I vacuumed today and mopped the kitchen and my bath. I also interviewed a lady about working for me. She was very wishy/washy about what times she could come and how much money she wanted, etc. I am not sure about this one. There will hopefully be others. She said she could tell my house was kept neat and clean and that the first time she would do a deep cleaning and then the next times not as much. We'll see.
She said do you live in this house by yourself? I thought, well it's not that big, actually small downstairs and I had told her she would not need to go upstairs.
My credit card has been compromised. I had about six or seven charges on it today that were not mine. So, it has had to be cancelled and another one will be issued. I am to get it tomorrow. The credit card company caught all but one charge. Always something happening. Whoever this was, was having a good time with my credit card today.Virginia

Virginia, I had my card number stolen, and know exactly who did it. I ordered pizza, and when it arrived, I used my card. He took it out to his car, then brought it back.
But the bank told me probably the guys wife, was trying to order with it online. They stopped it, but I had to wait until the new card arrived, then had to call the companies that do auto-pay on my card, and give them the new number.
I never had problems with it again, and I never ordered pizza again!

Virginia, are you using an agency to find a worker? I've heard that Merry Maids is good but don't know if they're in your area.
Too bad about your credit card! I had that happen a while ago and it's a nuisance and a worry.
I don't go to stores much at all but when I do go anywhere where I need to show a credit or debit card, I try to make sure it isn't visible to anyone else and I try not to let anyone walk off with it.
Yesterday I had to pay on the hearing aid repair and noticed that the bill gave me the option of entering a credit card or debit card number. In a case like that, I'll send a personal check instead. I don't want that number floating around out there.
I've heard that there are devices called skimmers that can somehow skim a person's card when you present it in a store, for instance, and get the information from it. I'm not sure who's doing the skimming--maybe dishonest store clerks?SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.

Agate I am trying not to use an Agency for my help in the house. They are usually much more expensive and the same people do not always come to your house. I want someone who I trust and who comes to know my house. I am using my Next Door Neighborhood site to post an ad. I have had a couple of responses, but did not feel like another interview today.
I have used my card on Amazon and to order a couple of clothing items this month. I also used it when I was sick to order on Instacart. It is already on Instacart so I did not have to give it again. I can't figure it out.Virginia

The NextdoorNeighbor site is probably a very good way to find helpers. I've noticed quite a few people asking for help of various kinds on my neighborhood site. I don't know how successful they are but people do read those posts.
I try not to leave my credit card number on any Website but some of them make it obligatory. Amazon insists on storing a credit care number, and it sounds as if that's what Instacart does too. There's no getting around that when they don't give you an option of not letting them store it, unfortunately.SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009.
