Oh Sunshine, the older I get, the more nervous I get about any change in meds. I hate rocking the boat! But I'm betting you can figure out a way to get the dosage you need for the med to work without creating more problems.

Howie, all your watch needed was to be discarded. It was probably sitting in the trash angrily thinking, "So he thinks he can just toss me out with the trash, does he? I'll show him!"

Marie Kondo, who wrote about tidying up (and now has a Netflix series, I've heard), says we should love our belongings and thank them. Maybe you weren't grateful enough to your watch but discarding it made it realize that you could just toss it if it didn't shape up, and so it shaped up.

Now you probably need to be particularly nice to it.⌚

I didn't know about Compleats dinners but happened to be looking into groceries today and looked them up. Some of them do seem skimpy (the rice and chicken, for instance) but there are some extra-large ones that are pretty substantial. Some pack in quite a lot of protein but the rice and chicken definitely doesn't.

I always look at the protein content of anything I eat. Protein is very important. Your body converts it into many things it needs. I just ate the pasta I made today, and it was real meaty, so high in protein. And it tasted good!!!

I always leave Sam some of the meat I eat. She said it tasted good too.

Some may have had a hard time getting to the part of the ship where the educational part took place, and some may have just been having really bad days. So maybe we can give some a little break, but not as many as you indicated.

Glad you and family had an otherwise good time.
The ship was HUGE! 1/4 mile from end to end. Meals were at one end of the ship and entertainment and conference room at the other. A lot of folks rented scooters to conserve energy when they found out the distances needing to be covered. I did get unsolicited apologies from a couple of folks because they were exhausted and could not make some of the sessions. I understand that. What I don't understand is how someone can come to such a great educational opportunity and spend the entire time in the Casino instead of classes while their caregiver goes to the classes.

Even with that attendance issue, I bet you gave a great talk, and I bet you touched lives that you don’t know you touched. In my career, when I thought I was ineffective due to similar attendance issues, I came to find out a couple of years later that lives had changed becasue of a comment or two

I have seen the clips of you in the past, and know how effective you are. Bet you touched lives you don’t know you touched.

Those MS patients wanted some “fun” in their lives and assigned the “work” to their caregivers. They cheated themselves out of important knowledge, but, I bet they had a nice break and some “fun” to recharge their batteries....

I did reduce the Baclofen by 5 mg at my 9Pm dose, and did my usual 1 a.m. dose at 12:30 am instead. So far, no spasms...

In two weeks, if successful, I will reduce the Baclofen by another 5 mg. , putting me at a total of 80mg instead of 90mg. , for two weeks. After that, Doc said to reduce the Tizanidine for two weeks. Its a stepwise and cautious plan. Grateful.

I’m glad that worked, Sunshine, and hope the taper goes well.

I was at publix today in the motor cart I picked up a cardboard carton of organic eggs to look at the date on them. You guessed it. It slipped out of my hands. All 12 eggs broke : Some on the cart, most on the floor around and unde the cart and on my backpack at my feet!

No one was around, so I hobbled to the door by the eggs and called for help

They professionaly and kindly cleaned up the mess. Adventures in shopping with poor fine motor skills....

Luckily it wasnt a glass bottle of olive oil...

Sunshine, sounds just like something I would do. Just glad they were so nice about it.

Just what I was thinking. You never know what is going on in the lives of people, why they make the decisions they do....perhaps the best medicine some got was the freedom to be with others like themselves. Trading information in that context might have helped more than anything!?

It takes talent to break all 12 eggs, I think! Glad you were able to get someone to help without having to wander all around the store.

These mishaps can be so very embarrassing. Too bad your backpack got hit.

Sunshine, if it was olive oil you could lick it off!

Glad the store was good about it, Sunshine! Life is full of these silly mishaps, easier to be able to laugh about them. That you were able to find assistance so quickly is amazing, I find store workers are few and far between these days.

Chocolate for you for breaking all 12! Woohoo!

(ANN, Virginia, did you see this further research about how dark chocolate is helping our brain power? Soon, I'm going to be a genius!)

Parsi, is it possible for you to get in contact with TC and send our well wishes to Cat?

Howie, glad your efforts amounted to a nice big dinner for you and a full belly! Have any plans for Pinky this spring? Do you know what time it is?

Personally, I think I'd skip the educational events on a cruise and send my DH to them too. No offense, Cherie, but I'd probably rather enjoy the fresh air and amenities too than be sitting in a room listening to MS stuff. Better to send in the hubby, read any literature later, and enjoy entertaining or relaxing cruise activities myself.

Well, I did point out an intact yolk on the floor. I told them to note the bright orange color. They were stunned. I said, its because they are truly free range organic eggs, and thus have more nurtrients in them...but pricey at 49Cents per egg!

Isn't it amazing how far superior the eggs become just by feeding the chickens better food and giving them more space to run around and be chickens?
