    ((((((Hugs to All)))))) ~

    Jeanie ~

I hope that your PT evaluator did show up today. You are making great progress, and I pray that it continues and you receive all of the help and treatment you need to recover fully.

Thank you for your prayers for us. Jim is stable with excellent vitals and is still off of O2. His nurse will visit tomorrow for a port blood draw. I'm anxious about the results, as his WBC has been dropping every 2 weeks with his draws. But his appetite is great, and he's up and moving around more, so we remain hopeful.

We are doing our best to cope with Jonathan's passing, but we miss him terribly, and it's difficult.

Please know that our prayers are with you always.

    Sunshine ~

When Jim's nurse is here tomorrow, I will ask her lots of questions about home IVIg, and I'll get back to you with her answers. Hope that you get the answers you need from the Urodynamics study results.

Many prayers and lots of healing energy for all of you ~

    Love & Light,

Agate, that is mostly what I iron when you hear me talk about starching and ironing. I've got two that needs doing right now.

Thanks Rose! I might cancel PCP tomorrow depending on the urology consult today. I originally scheduled it due to sudden hearing loss last week. But it came back in12 hours and hasn’t disappeared since... Truly getting tired of asking for rides, and also, my cupboard is getting thin, and, with so many doc visits, am trying to thin out the ones that can wait...

Yesterday saw improvement in walking. I spent much more time on the rollator and less on the wheelchair— a blessing! Hoping for this improvement to maintain itself...don’t know why , but I will take it :)

Today is the urology consult on the Urodynamic study results and recommendations. So tired of these doc appointments and begging rides and leaning on spouse and friends...who do it without complaint...

Yesterday a new friend took me to the GI consult (GI problems caused by muscle relaxants), and that was so kind and generous of her...Lucky I am now at an age where many friends are retired...Living rural means that access to public transportation is non existent. Uber is sketchy here...

I'm almost done. Today was this bedroom cleaning day. The sheets were washed, and they are back on the bed, waiting for the comforter to finish drying. I've dusted everything with what I call, my "cat tail duster".

I didn't vacuum, because I'm worn out. Maybe tomorrow. Everyone have a great day!

Sam, your tail is too skinny!

:) Well Palm Beach County has had several days where the feel like temp is between 105 & 110. My Andy works outside in it. I am staying in the AC.

Yesterday the wound care nurse evaluated my wound and gave me 7 more days of care. It is not completely healed but my immune system takes longer but they do not take that in consideration.

Today the PT evaluator came. The previous two times he was here he did no therapy with me. I insisted this time he do some. He did and he says he is approving me for another month.

I am thinking seriously about taking the catheter out. However I still can't get up quick enough for that. I worry that my bladder has lost some muscle tone with 4 months of catheter.

Rose I worry about you and Jim. Cat Dancer, Ann, Sunshine, Virginia and Howie I'm praying for everyone to get better. Nuthatch are you okay? Agate I'm glad you got to spend time with little William. Jeanie :)

Urologist’s hunch by my description and Urodynamic study is that this is called DSD , aka Detrusor-external sphincter dyssynergia.
He Rxd Flomax and return in 3 weeks for ultrasound to see bladder retention of urine. Its all a bit confusing to me. No cath for now. For now...

:) The male nurse who treats my wound kissed me on the forehead today?!? I don't believe he is trying for a date. I intend to make sure he is not thinking that. I do not want any relationship at this age. A friend only.

Andy came and said it was brutal outside today and they worked in an area with no breeze. Lacy gets so excited when he comes. He always takes her for a walk.

Andy and Torre are coming with Philly cheese steaks from Duffy's tonight. Yay I do not have to cook.
Andy picked five green mangoes to ripen for me. I still have some frozen from last year. I wish I had a blender or gadget that makes slushies. Jeanie :)

Sunshine, that diagnosis is too complicated for me to understand. However I will listen and support as you try to, because it sounds as though you might be a little confused about what it is also. Maybe not, but I got that impression.

Howie, hens are very proud of you. You are doing your housecleaning right along with us. Sam probably is really tired. I like the way you take it room by room without any worry. I stress over mine. I have to admit you are smarter than I am, in that regard. Well, actually probably in many ways.

Jeanie, I feel for people who have to work outside in the heat in summer and cold in winter. I guess some get use to it, but I am sure there are many who never do, but have no choice. So glad you didn't have to cook tonight.

Maybe the male nurse who kissed you on the horsehead thought he was being kind to someone who has been through a lot. However, he probably doesn't know you like we do and doesn't know how tough you are. Also, in this era of "me too" he probably better not do that to some of his patients.

I left home at 2:15 today. I went to K-Mart for prescriptions. Then I went to get hair cut, colored and blow dried. Then on to Walgreens where I got second shingles vaccine. Thank goodness that is over. I did some shopping in there after I had set for about 10 minutes and funny thing happened as I was checking out at the checkout counter. Something was flying around my head and I kept trying to swat it away as I got my debit card out and punched in buttons. I glanced up at it and it looked like something that would sting. I asked the girl behind the counter what it was and she said it was a wasp. It kind of stuck with me and she stepped back away, as did people behind me. Finally, I am not sure where it went but as I walked to my car I realized I was no long swatting it away. I kind of laughed to myself and wondered if it was trying to sting me and cure my MS. If I had thought that could happen I would have stood still and let it sting away. However, I didn't think it would be too smart to get stung right after getting vaccinated.

I then went and picked up some fast food because it was almost 6:15 and I was beat. I came home and ate.

So the wasp gave you a pass, Virginia? It's always nice when an insect just moves on without deciding it's mealtime.

                          Jeanie,
Remember what they taught us in Nursing school about bladder retraining after long term catheter use. Clamp for an hour then open and gradually extend the clamped time so the bladder learns to fill and warn of need to empty.

We have been inundated with rain and cool temps. Sun and thunderstorms alternated on Saturday then Sunday was bright and temps at 85. Rained part of the day Monday and we got a soaking of nearly an inch and a half yesterday. Today it's sunny and 80. At least the gardens and lawn are green and lush.

:) Thank you Cherie for reminding me about the catheter clamping. I just put a clamp on it.

I am so annoyed with robo calls. I get several a day on my landline and I am on the do not call list. When I got home from rehab I had 41 robo calls and one friend call on the message machine. It is sometimes hard to get to the phone or door in a hurry.

The wound care nurse came this morning when I was in the bathroom and I had to rush to the door half dressed. She said she called yesterday and I hung up on her. Her phone number looked like a robo number.

I watch the Bachelorette on TV and this time the girl behaves like a whore. If I were her mother I would be very disturbed by her.

Andy and Torre brought the dinner last night and we had a nice visit. I am missing socializing with others. Also need hair washed again. Torre is coming Friday to change my linens. Lacy stayed in Andy's lap most of the night. Jeanie :)

Robocalls? I get a couple a day and I'm on the DoNotCall list too. Sometimes I report the calls I get but sometimes I don't get around to it.

It's particularly annoying on the two days a week when I need to keep the line open because of the grocery order calls--one day for placing the order, another day when the order is being shopped and the shopper might have questions. Then to let the delivery person in, I need access to the phone. A robocall keeps on going even after I've hung up the phone, and others trying to reach me will get a busy signal.

I know where you guys are coming from on the robo calls. I get so many and now unless I recognize the number I don't answer the call. I do wonder though how many calls I have missed because of this that I would loved to have taken or needed to take.

Well. house is dusted. Two loads of linens washed and dried. Bed is half way made, but I needed to take a break. Laura came. She talked on the phone 4 times that I know of. I was in a different part of the house part of the time and things were real quite so it could have been more. I told her that two of the things she normally does did not need to be done this week and that when she got through with the other things I would tell her what I wanted her to do. One of the things was that I wanted her to clean the glass door on my front. I happened to pass by the door right after she went out and she was taking her phone out of her back pocket and making a call. That was the 4th time. The other three times I heard her phone ring. I was surprised she had the ringer turned up high enough for me to hear it. She usually does not. Oh well, she did get master bath floor mopped and kitchen mopped and counters cleaned. I need to stop complaining and be thankful for what she does do. Which, by the way, I am.
