The groom's father is the one with the tall red and white striped hat and he is also an actor where Maggie (bride) is manager and Chris (groom) is artistic director. They met at Princeton and have graced this community since graduation 8 years ago. Almost everyone that you see with clown makeup is part of the regular cast or improv troupe here. I hope you are able to see this even if you are not on FB. The wedding today was simply lovely. Clearly she was crying when the two of them walked down the aisle together. They "improvised" their vows since they participate in improv every Friday night and teach it to others. I think the phrase that grabbed me from both of them was, "I will be there to catch you and I won't let you fall." So hot (83) this afternoon with our first full sun in 9 days that I had to leave right after the ceremony despite cooling vest and collar but we went back down at 8 this evening for another couple of hours. Such a sweet crowd in a wonderful hometown.

Really a different approach to a wedding and a welcome break from tradition, probably. I particularly liked the bubbles. I agree that "I will be there to catch you when you fall" sounds like a good promise to make and to hear from one's partner.

Cherie, was able to see it fine. A different kind of way to spend an afternoon. Looks like all the people were enjoying their selves. I assume you and David were somewhere in with the onlookers. Not a very serious kind of wedding. Just people having fun. I am sure very meaningful to the couple getting married.

:) No call from the PT evaluator yet. Also when I called them they are sending a different nurse to check my wound to see how much longer I need wound care.

I was running my iLife robot vacuum and backed into my desk chair that was put in the living room. It bumped a 1700 garden stool with an antique statue on it that was appraised in 1991 for $600. and it fell and broke in many pieces. Unfortunately that is not the first antique of my brothers that I have broken.

I am tired today and want to lie down but afraid I will need to go to the door and that takes a lot of time to get up and on the scooter and out the door to the hall then to the front door.

I'll post when I find out what they are going to do for me. Jeanie :)

Jeanie, I know it must be tiring to just sit there and wait for someone to come. I do hope the PT evaluator came soon after you posted.

Sorry you broke an antique that was left to you by your brother. I am sure it is very frustrating.

You said you were tired today, and so am I. I went out yesterday and it is now to the point that if I go out one day I am wiped out the next. I didn't do that much and didn't have a problem doing the things I did. I just don't understand it.

Sunshine, any more news about IVIg? Hope you had a couple of good days while DD was with you.

I just noticed that it is 95 degrees outside. Surely, that would not be what is making me tired since I am in air conditioning. I have to go out tomorrow to get hair done and then I am getting second shingles vaccine late tomorrow afternoon. They were out when I went to get it, but I received a telephone call just a few minutes ago. Will be glad when all of that is over.

This is my third post in a row, but I was just looking at some pictures of the Queen on the internet. I think she is a good looking 93 year old. She seems to do very well, however she is now having to go without Prince Phillip since he is no longer going out unless it is to a family function such as a wedding of one of his grandchildren.

Seeing her reminded me that I had been meaning to mention on here that I watched The Crown on Netflix. For those of you who have Netflix it is really good. I binge watched it over several days. I have read that it is pretty accurate and that the Queen said she enjoyed it. Her children talked her into watching it. I have seen that a second season is due out sometime this year. I do hope they come out with one.

I think they might be finally trimming the shrubs around my house. I was beginning to feel like I was living in a jungle. I just hope they do a good job. I have more shrubs than most of the people, since I have three sides that have them, so I think they just dread the few yards out here like mine.

:) Hi everyone. I took 12 small steps with the walker. Even though the doctor ordered 6 weeks of 3xweek PT and I only had two weeks I have to be evaluated again on Monday. Also my insurance called and want me to have a bone density test.

Rose please post or PM me with how you and Jim are doing. You are all in my nightly prayers. Jeanie :)

Jeanie, I broke my hip and two ribs so therefore needed to get a bone density and no surprise , I have osteoporosis. More drugs. Sounds like you’re doing better. Yay

The company called me about IVIG at home and said they will get back to me tomorrow about the financials and scheduling the RN. Neuro has arranged all of this. I see him Tuesday next week. Tomorrow I get the results and rec from the Urodynamic study. Today saw the GI guy. Its a real doctor week...

ssusan, I have osteoporosis too but haven't wanted to start on any of those drugs like Fosamax. I probably should have another bone density test soon to see if it's getting much worse or maybe even not getting worse (hope, hope).

So far we've had only one hot spell, and just now it's staying cool--around 70. My short sleeved tops are in short supply just now and I've been thinking about replacing a couple of the seedier looking ones. My arms are looking so bad that I've almost decided to wear only long-sleeved shirts even though short sleeves are my preference in hot weather.

Agate, if you get long sleeves for the summer if you get white, cotton blouses they are supposed to be cooler. This is what a man that did yard work told me many years ago. I have started wearing them a lot.

I happen to be wearing one right now, Virginia. I wish I had several more just like it but it's no longer available. I'm looking for another that is close enough to it. My only complaint about it is that it's a pain to iron and needs starch, the only thing I own that needs starch to look like anything, but I gladly put up with that because it is so wearable.
