Spoke with my neuro office. They have a line on a national home health service that does a lot of IVIG at home. It looks like I might actually be able to continue on IVIG soon...worried about doing it at home as I have crises at the hospital based one which is not the hospital an ambulance would take me to from house...dicey. But, no other option at this time.

These companies order large amounts of the IVIG and disperse it, whereas the hospital does not do this...its a very weird situation iMO.

This has been a loooong, boring day for me. It's my fault. I went to bed so early, so I was up at 6am. Then when something came on TV, there was nothing on that I hadn't seen before, several multiple times.

I tried to go back to bed just a while ago, and couldn't sleep of course, so I made a pot of coffee which I'm drinking a mug of right now. I need to fix something on the PT Cruiser, but it was 90 degrees today. Monday is supposed to be a cooler day, so I will work on it then.

When you've had a crisis during IVIg infusions at the hospital infusion center, what does your infusion nurse do? Whatever your hospital infusion nurse does, I would guess your home health nurse could do. As I suggested, have a written list of everything your home health nurse needs to know, including crises and remedies of the past, which you can go over with your nurse, before the infusion begins.

If you have a good nurse, home health can be a blessing. Praying it all works out well for you.

Rose, I go to YouTube daily, and mostly watch the cats and dogs videos. It's easy to see why humans have pets. They are always entertaining and add so much to our lives!

Went to my first "clown wedding" tonight. We have a wonderful small community theater that does some very professional performances just two blocks from our house. For those of you who follow my facebook page, you have seen me review "Wakefield Idol", a local talent show that runs for 12 weeks during the winter months. You have also seen me review or comment on the free Shakespeare performances on the patio on Wednesday and Sunday nights during July and August as well as free Jazz on Monday nights during the summer and free improv on Thursday nights with River Fire adjacent to the theater patio. They also do shows like "Little Shop of Horrors", "Gypsy" and more with more than 200 actual stage performances throughout each year. Dave and I have become immersed in what is going on there over the past three years. Tomorrow the artistic director and theater manager will be married by the box office manager who is an ordained pastor. Today's activities started with a BBQ and volley ball 5 miles from our house then went to the beach three miles from the house in the other direction then went to a pot luck supper for about 200 people on the theater patio on the river with the river fire braziers lit. The bride's parents are Vaudevillians. The groom is a local kid who is 10 years younger than our kids. Both families got together with minimal rehearsal and brought the theater community into the act by doing a "clown wedding" All dialogue was done via Kazoo. All characters except the bride and groom wore clown red noses. The exchange of rings was an exchange of purple clown noses and the tossing of the bouquet was a flinging of water balloons. It was an absolute riot! Weather was iffy all day with intermittent showers but the evening pot luck and clown wedding was temps in the low 70s with clear skies and just lovely. The real ceremony will take place tomorrow at 3 , also on the patio. They asked for no gifts but a flower from your garden to be part of the bridal bouquet or table arrangements. :) Hi everyone. I took 12 small steps with the walker. Even though the doctor ordered 6 weeks of 3xweek PT and I only had two weeks I have to be evaluated again on Monday. Also my insurance called and want me to have a bone density test.

Cherie, that must have been a very enjoyable wedding! I understand that some weddings are rather obviously taking place mainly so the bride and groom can collect "loot," and it's nice when the couple doesn't want gifts, I think.

My son and DIL and grandson were here yesterday. William (the grandson) is quite a crawler and goes licketysplit across the room. I was actually able to pick him up yesterday, something I wasn't able to do a couple of months ago. I didn't carry him more than a couple of steps but I'm cheered to think that I'm able to do this. He's a dear little lad, now nearly 15 months old.

Jeanie, that is great news from you. Quite a feat, considering where you have been. I just hope they let the PT continue on. My insurance company never ask me to take any test that might cost them money.

Agate, it really must have been thrilling to pick your grandson up. No matter the distance it must be a great feeling. I know you really enjoy him so much.

I went to meet family for dinner this evening. Weather here was nice with low humidity so we set outside. Then I went to Home Depot and talked to them about getting some painting done. I might just go ahead and call the painter that I have used in the past. He is very expensive, but at least I know him and know his work. After staying in there for quite some time I went to Lowe's Foods and got 3 items that I didn't get Friday.

They said the weather was good yesterday, but I didn't go out so I wouldn't know. However, now it is going to warm up into the mid to upper 90s with high humidity.
