A busy day for me. My sister came by and brought me a new power cord for the laptop. The old one just got worn out, plus me stepping on it which unplugged it. The new one fit perfectly, and has thicker cables.

Then I had to talk myself into a bank and store run. I was out of everything. My car was dead when I tried to start it. So I put the battery charger on it for a second, and it started right up.

I left it running while I went in the store, and finally turned it off when I got home. It's a new battery, so hopefully it's charged now.

So I just had my last half a mug of coffee, and I may just rest for awhile. Everyone have a great day.

Howie's charged, Sam is charged, Howie's car is charged. This has to be good news for everyone here.

And I'm watching Charge TV. What are the odds?

I did close my eyes for a minute, but then remembered I need to make coleslaw. I just finished, and will let it sit for awhile. Maybe eat around 7.

I went to my PMD today. I had an A1C done and it was back in the normal range. I no longer need to loose weight or see a nutritionist. Great.

I tried to post a video from Facebook showing my dancing and laughing grandson. I could see the link but apparently others couldn't.

So you'll need to imagine my grandson dancing to music with his face all smiles.

I couldn’t see it. It said “link may be broken or page locked.” I’m happy you have a dancing grandson.

Thanks, ANN. I'll remove that link so others won't have to find nothing there.

Yes, having a dancing grandson is very fine indeed.

I do have Charge, but seldom ever watch it. Just not my kind of shows. I watch Comet most of the day. I even look at the screen now and then.

Most of the time, I'm online. I have a few forums I keep track of, but most of the time, I am on You Tube. Always something interesting, and it's constantly changing.

I had my HbA1C tested yesterday too. It was 4.9, which is good. But the potassium is going down again, and so I got a note of caution from the doctor about it. More bananas and broccoli and potatoes will be on the menu.

That’s good on the A1C, Agate. I know you’ll take care of the potassium.

I think I am taking care of my potassium. I made potato soup Wednesday and will eat the last of it tonight. Then I will maybe make vegetable soup. You ladies are doing good with your A1Cs.

A neighbor came this afternoon and stayed for about 2 1/2 hours. A long visit. She brought enough cookies that she had made for at least 6 to 8 people. I wonder what she expects me to do with all those cookies. She did make some banana bread which I put in the freezer.

Most cookies will freeze nicely--why not put them in the freezer?

Uuuh, hate to say this Agate, but many of them I do not like. However, it was very nice of her to make them and bring them to me. I think she said she made some of them about two weeks ago. Nice lady from New York, but we cook differently.

If you have visitors sometimes, maybe you could trot them out of the freezer and let them eat them.

I know what you mean--there are tasty cookies and then there are those I wouldn't go near.
