The only cookies I ever eat are Vanilla Wafers, but that's not very often. I don't eat many sweets, but did buy a tub of ice cream today, but haven't opened it. Sam is an ice cream eater. Go figure.

:) I had pumpkin pie and egg nog last night. My family will all be here for dinner at 4 today. This is our Christmas because Jim has to be in church things Christmas eve. I do not know if Jim is having Christmas morning brunch this year.
I have the stockings all ready. Andy and Torre took all the food to cook it and will bring it around 2. I feel strange this year with everything different. I will just cebrate Jesus birthday my way.
Merry Christmas to all of you who celebrate it. Happy Hannakah to our Jewish friends. Jeanie :)
I went to the store awhile ago. It wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be. I'm set until next week, then will restock to carry me until after New Years. 2020 is almost here. I never thought I would live to see 2020, but then I never thought I would live to see 2000. But here I am.

Wait--where is Sam? I saw a black kitty plodding through the very damp yard outside (it's been raining steadily and coldly for days) with its ears laid back as if it definitely disliked the weather. It couldn't have been Sam.
Sam should be very glad she's staying out of the weather and not having to prowl around out there for food.
Sam is home, curled up on my lap, where she spends most of every day. She did get her ice cream last night, and we will probably have it again tonight. She has a tough life, but someone has to live it.

:) Well Andy, Torre, Jim & Carla came for dinner. Andy and Torre cooked it all. Everything was good. While we chatted in the living room, Andy did the dishes. We used paper plates but had goblets for the ambrosia and glasses for egg nog and plates for pie, plus silverware.
Everything was delicious, ham, pole beans, potatoes and gravy, corn bread stuffing, ambrosia, pie and egg nog. Almost immediately after I began to feel ill. It was too rich for my stomach. I took tums and some soda and after they all left I began to feel better.
My grandson had to work. He is hoping to be made the baker at Publix instead of the assistant. He has been at Publix for over 12 years. I don't know if I will get to see him during these holidays. I sent his stocking with his folks.
Jim and Carla gave me a set of queen sheets and a Longhorn gift card. Andy and Torre gave me a set of towels. Andy bathes Lacy and he said all my towels are thin and old. He is right but I like thin towels and cloths. I put some money in each of their stockings along with the fruit, candy and nuts.
DH is off Christmas Eve and Day, but DS & wife like to spend Christmas morning together. So we are getting together Sunday the 29th. Not sure if we go out for lunch, but gift opening is at my house later.
:) Merry Christmas! Happy Hannukah! Thank you for your concern but I am feeling okay today. I have the heat on after having AC yesterday. We are going into the low 60's.
I went out and through the drive thru at KFC and got 2 pieces of chicken. Nothing planned for today or tomorrow. I will just relax. Jeanie :)
