    Hi Everyone,

I am glad to see so many of my friends still here.

First and foremost, Jeane, you and David are in my prayers. I will be thinking of you both this week and praying for the best outcome.

I can't remember every post I just read.....Happy belated Birthday Howie! :) Cherie, I'm glad your surgery went well. And no falls for anyone, please! I've had trouble in that area myself. Darn numb feet, thy do it every time.

I have not worked for just over 3 years and I'm now considered secondary progressive. Thanks to a great pain management doctor and PT (who was recommended by him!) I am getting a little better (or at least dealing with things much better). I've had some pain mgmt. procedures and my PT actually "touches" me now so that helps. My old one just tought me exercises and said I needed to strengthen my muscles and my core.....yeah when my neck and shoulders are already as tight as a rock! Anyway, looking up now and my neuro suggested that I stay connnected with my online friends since that's where I seem to fit in the best. I really didn't like meetings since I am one of those "look so good people" that sometimes others have a hard time getting.

    Glad to be back,

    Kelly

Are we getting Merry yet?:o I'm having a difficult time feeling the Joy. I guess it's because I was in the hospital from the 18th till the 30th of November, so didn't get that gun ho feeling I usually get after the Thanksgiving festivities are over.:ambivalence:

I have my shopping for the grands finished and yet I just don't feel quite ready...like I forgot something or something's missing? I'll get the spirit in time for the festivities, but I just kinda wish I could spend it with my Family in church and enjoy just the reverance of the Day, instead of all the falldarall. KWIM? :o

KWIM? Don't understand. We have all shopping done. Really pared down as a family this year. No one really needs anything. Focusing on the little ones. Dave spent much of the day fixing a leak in the dishwasher, installing a new light fixture over the sink and wrapping his gifts. I scoured the microwave, stove, oven and sink and made fresh veggie juice as well as doing a couple loads of laundry.

Planning a Yankee Swap for Dave's office and BNI group here on the 5th. Have to go Upstate for my parent's 60th on the 29th to the 1st. Heather and boys may come with us...still uncertain. Becky and family will be with VT family so cannot come. Becky has all of her ordination exams (5 days of 7 hours/day) the first week of January. Better her than me.

We are ready for Christmas and the week after and the week after that.

Eye is not really clearing as I was told it would so I may not get the 20/20 promised but there is certainly a lot more light and color entering than any time in the past 15+ years.

Blessings to all who are alone or cannot capture the holiday spirit yet this year.

                  Hi Everyone,

I have been really busy the past several weeks, but I have been reading, and trying to keep up with everyone.

Jeanie, I just had to say how sorry I am to hear the news about David. They can just do so very much more now with the liver than a number of years ago. I definitely will keep on praying for the two of you.

Sorry Howie, I didn't say Happy Birthday, but then if I remember correctly don't you have at least two a year so I should get another chance soon.:o

Sally, it's like old times seeing you on here when I come on. So glad to have you back.

Kelly, it's really nice to see you again. It's been awhile. I hope you will stay around and get to know us all over again. We get nicer with age.

Cherie, glad the surgery is over. Almost everyone I have talked to says they get really good sight very quickly. I have my fingers crossed for myself when my time comes.

Gary, glad your son is home and for quite awhile. I know that was a great gift no matter when it came.

Agate hope you are doing well.

                  Where is Peg?

Hi Ann. Can we start on the chocolate yet? It's almost Christmas.

Hi MaryLiz. Nice to see you.

I know that I am leaving some people out, but I have to go right now and will be back later. I am like a bad penny, I just keep showing up.

Sorry Sally, I meant to tell you that maybe if you have a good stero you could put some great Christmas music on and that might get you in the mood. I have been working around the house this afternoon and that is what I did. Try to keep your joy. It's enough that we have to give up so many other things, let's try not to let our joy be one of those things, and I know you always seem to have so much of that.

                          Sally,

Sorry things have been so tough. I do KWYM!!! I have my kids shopping done (thank you internet!!) and my tree is up (thank you to my youngest wonderful caring 14-year-old son) and that's about it. We will be in church Christmas Eve listening to him play piano and I look forward to that and the reason for the day. I also recently started singing in the contemporary church "praise band" that my son plays in and I am enjoying that more than anything. I have not sung since high school (30 years ago!!).

I hope you are healing and have a joyful, reverent Christmas and may the New Year bring the best to you,

                          Kelly

Cherie, it was helpful to read about your cataract procedure. I happened across some Internet stories about the procedure that were scary. Your account has added a far better perspective.

Kelly, I remember you. Welcome back!

As for me, my recent MRI showed no significant changes since two years ago and the neuro agreed that I can stay off Copaxone. I don't need to go back to the neuro for at least two years also. Whee!

Virginia, thanks for your post. People who keep showing up here keep this board alive! I think it's perfectly amazing that there are so many people here who've been here for more than 10 years in spite of Facebook and other activities. It's because some people have kept coming back loyally and devotedly that this board is still here, if you ask me.
                                SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.
