Did I ever tell the story about how when I was a kid, I would catch frogs, and do bizarre experiments on them?

I've never done bizarre experiments on Howies but I can start on that right away!

:) Good news! I adopted a 5 lb. 7 year old white and black chihuahua this afternoon. She is very skittish but I hope once she gets used to my house she will be fine. Her owner passed away. She has not barked yet but she has been up on the couch and over every inch of my house. I ampraying she works out well as I have missed the com[pany of my dog.

I will post updates. She is trained to pee pads so I do not have to use the doggie doors. I can take her out front on my scoter with a leash. Jeanie :)

Congratulations, Jeanie! I hope she brings much love and joy into your life, and isn't too yappy.

              What's her name?

:) Her name is Lacy. The lady who had him, her son brought it to the rescue on Saturday afternoon. He told them if she was not adopted by Monday or Tuesday he would come get her and have her put to sleep.

He showed up earlier today and the dog was not in the kennels. One of the rescue staff had taken her to her office because all the big dogs barking made her scared. They told him several Chihuahuas had been adopted and he left.

I imagine her owner is looking down and glad she has a home. She is trained to pee pads because her owner was unable to walk her. I put 3 pads down but so far she has not used them. She is still checking out everything. She stayed in my lap for almost an hour. She has run around the house so much she should sleep good tonight. So farit is good. Jeanie :)

                            Congratulations Jeanie!
I hope everything works harmoniously for you and Lacy.
An hour in your lap- how very gratifying.

Jeanie, there are a couple of chihuahuas in this building. They seem like ideal pets. One rides around in its human's pocket sometimes but I think it's a special breed of very small chihuahua.

Good luck with your new family member!

                                Good morning.
It's 8 below and looks like another indoor day.

Nurse coming and I was good and drove to my special pharmacy
yesterday eve @ minus 1 for stuff.
Degrees are beginning to look like currency; thought, 'I only have 1 degree so
I'll wait until I have ten.'

My hot water pipes froze overnight for the 6th time this winter but no bursts.
Good news is my neighbors moved- wall pounding man who yells, his wife who talks like a goose
and their 10 pound attack dog. Ah, sweet silence. Fingers crossed the next tenants are clean, quiet
                                and don't own a gun.

I had hopes that I could apply pre 62 for an infinitely preferable apt building but no go.
OK. Birthday 2016 is not far away and can use a year and a half to prepare and find
homes for my extra special stuff and way to much wheelchair paraphenalia.

I don't think I'l be able to paint the apt colors of Tuscany but it won't be Chain Smoker White

EH- Jeanie, have fun with that new kid in your house.
