OT August Chit Chat

ACCCKKKK...... after writing the posts above...between 2:30 a.m. and about 5 a.m....fell asleep, woke up at 6:30...and realized I had a sore throat. Which has turned into a raw throat, earache, headache, faucet for a nose, fever. In other words, a cold. An ugly cold. Feel crummy. Eating a chicken sandwich right now...and heading to bed. Ugh. Maybe a pot of tea first. sniff/cough/cough/

:) Hi Cat feel better soon. Sally I sleep 2 to 3 hours all night and into the AM. No matter how little fluid I drink I still am up to pee several times a night.

I am headed to the bed for a nap so I can watch the Olympics tonight. Jeanie :)

That's rotten luck about the cold, Cat. Maybe now that you're stronger, you'll find it easier to get rid of something like that. Let's hope!

As for sleeping, I'm always up several times a night to use the bathroom but I'm always so tired that I get right back to sleep easily enough, particularly since I have a recorded book right there, and as I'm going back to sleep I set the machine to turn itself off in 15 minutes.

Having to be kept awake on account of pain or discomfort or insomnia of any kind is miserable.

summer colds are the worse , they seem to last till winter colds appear,, hope you feel better Cat..

sleep,, I have trouble, since predizone was taken,, go to bed at 2:30 am,, up at 6 am,,I do take Advil pm ,, but wish I could sleep more..

Storm came thru, dumped 4 inches rain in a 18 hour window,, tornado touched down,, power lines down,, no power for 12 hours,,lets hope mother nature is done,,

I had a nice long chat with my brother. Things are working out well with his new business owners. I'm so glad he now has people who appreciate his talent and ability to get the job done. Things are really looking up for him right now.

That was the highlight of my week. I'm doing my trash, bank, store thing tomorrow. Beer mostly. My brother told me about new cat treat his little cat Coal it wild about. She is a little black cat that's turned out to really be good for him.

Have a great Friday night....even if you have wimped out and gone to bed already.

Peg, a 12-hour power outage? No fun at all in that. Hope your power is back and stays on.

Around here they blame squirrels for power outages. Or somebody crashed into something.

Today is National Slug Day, so I'm JUST getting up. A lot of sleep, but it was good sleep, lots of dreaming! I'm drinking lemonade trying to decide if I want to go out this late. It is SO hot.....but not in here. Enjoy your evening!

I made it to the bank and store, but didn't feel up to taking a bag of trash to the dump. I also got my mail, a ton of it. Comcast, whom I have no other choice for the computer, has screwed up my account.

I have it in my checkbook AND on my bank statement I got from the mail, BOTH say I paid last months bill. But I won't try to straighten it up until Monday, because they let the Chinese, I guess, answer the phones on the weekend. I have enough trouble understanding Americans speaking English, much less understanding a Chinese person speaking English.

I wasn't even going to open those bills until tomorrow, but went ahead. Now I know where I stand, and will fix it Monday.

I haven't even eaten today, and probably won't. I just want to get my sleep schedule straightened out. Food comes second. I don't look skinny, just pretty normal, but we ALL know I'm not normal, mentally or physically!

Cat, sorry you have come down with a bad cold. Summer colds can be bad. Hope it will not last long, unfortunately they sometimes do.

Howie, glad things sound like they are going a little better for your brother - hope everything just keeps getting better and better.

Peg, 12 hours without power. In this heat that would be extremely hard to take. I hope all has settled down there by now.

Jeanie, decided to take a little of your "giving back" to heart. I took my two brothers and one wife out to eat last night. One wife was out of town. Thursday was my middle brother's birthday and I just decided I would get the meal for all of us. I didn't tell them ahead of time because then they would try to get it first. I enjoyed doing it, but could not afford it very often.

For those of you who remember last week my youngest nephew won a new Acura car for getting a hole in one in a golf tournament. Well, the car that was parked at the golf course being advertised and that my nephew had his picture taken with turned out not to be the car he was getting. When he needed to fill out the papers and get on the road to the next tournament they told him that the one he won was a $28,000 auto and not the more than $40,000 that was there. (I find it to be false advertising) Anyway, he didn't want it and they offered him money in lieu of the car. They offered $19,000 and he countered with $23,000. Then he turned it over to his Agent and left. So I am not sure what he will get. I just wonder if they would have done that to an older golfer, or if they just saw how young and inexperienced he was about business. I don't know.

:) Hi everyone. I think I have sleeping sickness. I went to bed at midnight. I got up to pee 3 times before noon.

At noon I ate and went back to bed. Up to pee at 3 and back to bed until just after five. I am watching the Olympics and will try to stay awake awhile. Jeanie :)
