BBS - I couldn't find the Aspercreme with lidocaine, although I have seen tv commercials for Aspercreme with lidocaine sticky pads you can place on your skin. But my local pharmacy didn't have either.

When I asked, they DID have a topical product called zensa, with 5% lidocaine, but it was expensive.

I bought it anyway, but it's not helping, unfortunately.

Holy moly! Howie has started a trend...

Somewhere I heard that at this time of year nosebleeds are more common because people are living in heated environments where the air tends to be dry.

Hope your nosebleed will stop soon, SuzE-Q.

What is a sympathy nosebleed? Did I cause it telling about mine?

Yes, it's like sympathy pregnancy. Husband's of pregnant wives often gain weight, experience nausea, etc. It's considered to be in sympathy, although, I personally think men just use it as an excuse to eat more and then feel sick from overindulging.

Agate, mine only lasted 5 minutes. Yes, I'd read too the dry indoor air could cause it.

          I'll live.

I found it at Publix. I tried it on my feet and it did nothing. Maybe will try it again st some point. Disappointed, was so hopeful.

I used to work with a guy who had sympathy pregnancies. His wife delivered 4 babies and each time this guy went through the whole pregnancy routine--I believe with labor pains as well.

This nosebleed talk reminds me of my first husband. He used to have these nosebleeds that were worse than what Howie was talking about. When he was a kid, he would get a nosebleed and lean over the edge of the bed so the blood could go into the waste basket in his room. He had to get it cauterized.

                  ((((((Howie)))))) ~

I think I know what is causing your nosebleeds. Looking at your avatar, I would guess that it's those grimy hands squeezing your sinuses. Must be a tight grip, because your eyes are bulging.

In your shoes, or shoe, or Ace bandage, I think I'd ask that person to stop grabbing your face, unless those are your hands, and then, well ... at least wash your hands before you do it.

Seriously ~ maybe you could cut back on the Ibuprofen? I think the other meds you're taking also contribute to blood thinning. If it continues, please call your doctor. Blood loss of any significance (as in copious amounts or continued bleeding) is nothing to take lightly.

It's getting worse. Now I have sympathy scratching. I can't walk past a scratching post without scratching. I have three scratching posts, so I'm staying pretty busy. But it's not all bad.....just look at those nails!!!

I'm just doing a little "what can I do" on this computer. This is my big girl Seven, doing what she does best...resting. She is about 2 feet away, on the bed, as I type. Sam is right beside her. I'll try to do Sam next.

I looked and don't have a good picture of her, but will soon. My camera needs "stuff".

Nice to see Seven, about to grab the remote control. She has the look of someone patiently waiting, maybe like a cat who's hoping for some more sliced turkey.

I'm always fighting Seven for the remote. I'll be watching Killer Robots in Space, and she will switch it to Love Comes Again. Girls!

Ann, thank you. I got that at Walmart after looking at many others. Just being black and white sealed the deal.

:) A no energy day. I went in my pajamas to the mobility place and would have them bring me home and take the van back. It is less than 3 miles away. They used to do that when they were 10 miles away, but not anymore. They told me to call AAA and have them bring it out.

I am not doing it today. I am going to take a nap. Frustrated and tired. Jeanie :)

Jeanie, I know this issue, and this suggestion have come up before, but I'll say it again. Get a new van. Think how nice it would be to have DEPENDABLE transportation to go wherever, and whenever you want.
