7 and a half hours, that's a long time. What do you do if you have to potty?

Thanks for starting September off right for us, Peg! A lot of apples should mean great pies for many for a long time.

            As the song says,

Can she bake an apple pie, Billy boy, Billy boy?
Can she bake an apple pie, charming Billy?
Yes, she can bake an apple pie,
Quick as a cat can wink its eye--
She's a young thing and cannot leave her mother.

(Well, it's cherry pie in the original but apple will do.)

Howie, keep on eating pasta. Or maybe you should keep on buying scratch tickets?

In the article on the lottery winner,

he's going to use his winnings to help a family member pay medical bills...
There are lots of really nice people out there, and he must be one of them. I'm so glad he won big.

Good morning. ;-) I am home in my sunny skylit living room, on the couch having coffee while the cats take sunny cat baths.

It was so good to sleep in my own bed. It felt soft and gentle to my hips. Slept great. Peter has gone off to work for a little desk clearing before the long weekend.

I am hoping for a calm day with good weather for all of you.

Agate, I remember that song. My dad's name was Bill and we'd laugh at the thought of him making a cherry pie! In Mama's kitchen!!

:) Wow you are all early birds. I slept until 1:30 today. The phone rang when I was sleeping and I let the answering machine get it. A friend up north was calling to tell me his brother died. I was quite surprised as he was young and I thought he was pretty healthy and that the brother who called was sickly. Apparently they both were ill.

It seems every month another friend dies that is two this week. I am outliving them all. I am going to go to the van in my pajamas and go to the drive thru at Walgreens and get my meds. Then maybe through the drive thru at Wendy's and get a baked potato with broccoli and cheese. Then home an take a nap. Jeanie :)

PS I enjoy reading all of the activities and what y'all are up to.

Infusion was uneventful. 7.5 hours... I met a guy with Stiff Person Syndrome, much worse off than me so Far. His is Much worse than MS.

Howie, i walk to the bathroom once an hour to pee, but also to prevent DVT, a hazard with IVIG. You just roll the IV pole with you.mthr hard part is how damn low down the toilet is. The SPS makes it hard to squat, so I have to pee like a guy, GEESH! It's a hospital for crying out loud.

Jeanie, it sure is tough ageing, seems like every week, someone we know or know of dies.

BBS, I may have mentioned that I have a neighbor with stiff person syndrome. She was in a nursing home for some years before she moved here, and so she's probably more independent now than she was then.

Thanks Peg for getting us started. As usual you are so busy - all the time busy with things to take care of and do.

Agate, thanks for reminding me of that song. As I read I was singing along to the tune (in my mind). Long time since I thought of it.

Howie, guess you got all your first of the month errands taken care of.

Ann, glad you are home safe and are all cozy.

Jeannie, I sometime feel that way about loosing so many friends now.

BBS, glad the infusion went well and just hope that does not change over night.
