Sounds as if your local critters are looking desperately for water. I'm sure the birds and the deer appreciate the water you put out for them.

Nuthatch, I love the way you and your Husband try to look after the animals as much as possible. They obviously have come to depend on you and let you know when you forget them.

Well, I finally collapsed under the tremendous pressure BBS has been putting on us to try that CBD oil. It should be here in about a week.

I am on a crazy spending spree this month. 2 things from Amazon, and now this. I had better slow down or I'll have to resort to eating Sam before next payday.

Howie, I forgot to ask the NP that I saw if I could take CBD oil with my medication. So, anyway I want to know exactly how it affects you and if you feel it does any good at all.

I had a friend request on FB from a lady that I worked for for 13 years. I confirmed it. I must say that some years ago she reached out to me on several occasions and tried to be friends. I was nice to her, but never met for dinner or lunch. I left there when I got so sick I was unable to work. It was a very high stress work atmosphere, which she could have changed. However, she too is a very high stress person. So she messaged me on FB about having lunch. I welcomed her as a friend and told her I would be back in touch soon.

I don't know why this bothers me, other than I do not care to be around her. I was Office Manager/Business Manager and I have always felt that I was not backed up by her. I worked extremely long and hard hours in a difficult office and under difficult situations at times. I should have left, but even though I didn't know at the time that I had MS, I did know that I had something wrong with me and was getting sick. I was just trying to hang on. I left the month I was diagnosed. She later told me how hard it was on HER and that she had to hire a CPA to come in. All I could think was "why the h--l didn't you back up my decisions and my actions when I was running your office?" She was usually traveling around in and out of the U.S.

Oh well, just ranting away. I think I must be getting anxious about this hurricane thing.

Why did you accept her friend request, Virginia? You owe her nothing.

Hurricanes take so long. Good to have the time to prepare or get out but awful to worry for so long.

Ann, I definitely owe her nothing, but it is hard for me to say "no" to someone I have known as long as I have known her, and then she was messaging me and I was talking to her in real time. So, I guess I am a coward.

Hurricanes do take so long. I am concerned for everyone in Florida and I am getting concerned for South Carolina. I don't know my brother's plans that lives close to Hilton Head, but I think he and his wife would be foolish not to leave.

Maybe outside of work the relationship will be different. She's not in charge any more.

I saw a PT today that used to specialize in MS patients. In fact I saw her once over 25 years ago. Since then, she has changed to a private practice for musicians. She spent the summer at Tanglewood.

I called and left a message asking if she was the person from the MS Clinic and she called me back and said she'd be happy to see me. Today was that visit. She spent an hour asking questions and testing muscles. Work starts next week.

                            Good morning all!

Friday already....again. It seems like every other day is Friday. If it keeps this up, I'm going to get old...er. I have a package from Amazon coming USPS. So I'm going to do my usual trash, mail, and store run.

It's nice and sunny out, and cooler. Summer is passing, and it can't go fast enough for me. As a kid, we lived close to a swim club, and I never wanted Summer to end. But now........

That hurricane sure is taking a long time to get to the continental US. I looked this morning, and it looks like it's going to go straight up the whole state of Florida. That's going to be horrible if it does!

Time for another mug of coffee, then I'm getting my running around done. Have a great day everyone!

Sam, start blowing up your raft, we might need it before it's over.

It's hard to say no to a friend request on Facebook, I think. You don't say no--you just let it go, but then you find out that if you make too many friend requests that aren't accepted, Facebook blocks you from sending any more friend requests--maybe that's just temporarily. I don't know exactly how it works but I did find that information in the Facebook Help section.

So if you ignore a friend request, that person might be at risk of being prevented from sending any more friend requests.

That didn't prevent me from ignoring a couple of them recently though--one was from someone who seems to be a friend of a relative I don't know well and have no idea whether this person is a dear friend or just an acquaintance of that person's.

The other was from a neighbor I just don't want to be friends with. I have a few neighbors as Facebook friends but this one is toxic and vicious. She might even try to retaliate if she finds out I deliberately ignored her friend request.

Luckily she'll never know because Facebook sets it up so that doesn't happen. She'll probably think I just failed to get the request or overlooked it by accident.

I understand your not wanting to let that person's friend request go unaccepted, Virginia. Facebook is different from any other social situation most of us have ever known, and we're all just figuring it out as we go along.

Agate, I am already seeing some post that she is sending through with the "F" word in caps in it. Also, I got to read about her beer drinking day with her son and then she stated that she quickly switched to wine.

Ya'll probably already figured out this is not my kind of person. I have gotten to a point that the f word doesn't bother me so much, but I don't personally use it in everyday conversation and she does. But not only that word, a lot of others. She has always lived a very fast and high flying life. In addition to taking care of the business that at off season had 14 employees and busy times we had 18 to 20, I use to help with her own finances. She spent a minimum of $5,000.00 per month on clothes and personal items. This did not include any travel expenses or her car, which was company furnished. It was mostly clothes. Sometime it would go as high as $7 to $8 thousand a month for those things. One time she went out of town and got talked into buying a time share. She put over $20,000.00 on a business credit card. She told one of the people that worked there that "Virginia was going to have a fit when she saw that". I then decided I didn't care. But I was the one that had to take the calls if a payment for anything at all was late.

I get mad just thinking about some of the stuff she did. On the other hand, for some strange reason, I have always had a hard time saying "no" to her. She has had 4 husbands, numerous boyfriends, some young enough to be her son. She paid for everything for them. But then even she would get disgusted with herself and let them go.
