OT September Chit Chat

Just what Sam needs--a vehicle of her own. Watch out, drivers! Faster than a speeding bullet, it's a bird, it's a plane, it's SuperSam!

She says she wants hers painted black, with white hubcaps. Cats !

Isn't she black and white? She's planning to use it as camouflage, hoping will notice her?

She might be ticketed, being a cat driving a car without a license. Can't blame her for wanting to hide.

[Howie]

I am so out of it right now. I'm just waking up from a long nap. This morning, I got that water leak fixed. He had to go to the hardware store for one part, and got back and was done in a few minutes.

Last night, I didn't sleep, but a combination of worry about the leak, and several pots of coffee, pretty much ended sleeping.

But as soon as the leak was fixed and the guy left, I decided to see if I could now sleep, and was out like a light. I just got up, but because my brother is supposed to call, decided against just crawling under the covers again.

I've been terrible on my eating and sleeping schedule, and that's not a good way to get. Eating and sleeping are pretty essential to feeling good.

Well, it's Friday evening. Sam, get out your party hat! MeeeeeeOW!!!

Thanks Agate, I plan to see my brother and his wife Sunday for dinner and I will tell him. He will appreciate you saying that.

Howie, if you are going into the car building business, after you build (spoiled) Sam her's, there are others on here that you might consider. Of course we are particular, but I am sure you could pull off a Porsche for me.

Oh, Howie's offering to build all of us cars? That guy is generous, isn't he?

I'll have one of those self-driving ones. I'm not too particular about the color so long as it's blue or green.

A good choice. Like the Karmann Ghia, and the air-cooled Beetle, Porsche is well designed German technology.

Agate, you can get just any car you want, and Sam would be more than happy to drive you anywhere you want to go.

:)I went to see my friend in the nursing home and her electric wheelchair died and the nursing home got rid of it because it was not one of theirs. She is on oxygen 24/7 and has a hard time getting herself around in the manual chair.

I am wondering if any of you know a place where I can get a Jazzy or Hoveround used for about $300.00. I cannot pay a ;pt for one, but would love to get her one. Her Soc Sec goes to the nursing home and they give her $30 a month out of it. She has been in the hospital several times due to breathing problems.

Preferably someplace in South Florida that I could drive to to pick it up with Andy's help. I looked on eBay and made one $310.id on a Jazzy but they are asking an opening bid of 600. I am going to check a couple of medical supply places here too. Jeanie :)

I believe I mentioned a self-driving car. If Sam has to come along with the car, I'm having second thoughts. What about all of the rest of the people you've apparently volunteered to build a car for? Couldn't one of them use Sam as a driver?

I hope Sam isn't reading this. I wouldn't want to hurt her feelings by making her feel unwanted.

Sam, she didn't mean it that way, she....oops, too late. She grabbed her baseball bat, and left. I wouldn't take a walk on any lonely streets today.

Well, I started work on the second junk room where I had the water leak. I got the panel screwed back in place, and cleaned the big dresser that I slid into place in front of that panel. I have two boxes of what came out of, and on top of the dresser. Dump trip tomorrow.

I'm going to have a real meal today. Pasta, coleslaw, and sugarless lemonade, and maybe English Muffins if I'm real hungry. But that will be later today. First, I need a bath...or at least Sam says so.
