It’s a shame the doc uses his talents to attack MS patients rather than contribute to helping them.

Are u allowed to say his name, or name of his university so We can avoid going there?

Good morning all! I was up about 3am, but went to sleep about 5pm, shortly after eating. That pasta I made the other day is so good, but it knocks me out every time I have it.

I have 2 more meals left out of it, but got everything for the next batch except the meat. I'm going to try to eat later today, then my brother's call will wake me up. That's how it went last week, and I hope it works out the same today.

I bought some of the Compleat's dinners yesterday, and may just have one of those tonight. It will be interesting to see if the pasta does it, or just eating anything.

It's staying warm during the day, but getting right cold at night, but I've run the heat only once. The new bedding and comforter are keeping US plenty warm. Sam stays on me, or under the covers with me at night.

Well, have a great Friday everyone!

If the Doc who wants to yank the diagnosis of MS away from patients, just suppose he makes a mistake, which then causes a patient to loose their ability to get medication and that throws them into a flare that possibly paralyzes them. Really, this makes sense?

Howie, so glad you are sleeping well. Whatever you put in that pasta dish you need to tell me about.

I did something that was kind of interesting for me yesterday. The man I married for 3 1/2 years after my husband's death and I divorced and he is living in Wilmington, N.C. Like me he never remarried. He lost his very closest friend in the world about 5 months ago. They grew up together and remained exceptionally close their entire life. My 2nd husband was an only child and they were closer than many brothers.

At the time it happened I sent my former husband a sympathy card, intending to call him at a later date. Well, time went by and finally I called yesterday. I just told him that I had been thinking about him and knew that he had been through a hard time. We did not talk anymore about that, but ended up staying on the phone for over an hour and a half. He seemed truly glad that I had called and told me several times how much he enjoyed the conversation. He also said he was glad that we could still talk like we did, as friends, in spite of all that happened all those many years ago.

It was really a nice conversation and reminded me that sometime when we feel we should reach out, we really do need to. Just thought I would share this with you all.

Virginia, as they say, time heals all wounds.

I just finished eating my pasta dish. I forgot about making a Compleats dinner, but so far, it's not making me sleepy zzzzz zzzzz zzzzz.....

What a nice story, Virginia. Staying on good terms with an ex-spouse is a really good idea, I think, though with some it just isn't possible.

A lovely story, Virginia. I'm glad you could continue a friendship. I know a few people who are much better friends to each other than they were as married couples...

:) My ex and I were married 32 years and he has faithfully sent me alimony every month since 1991. At Christmas he sometimes adds $100.00 to it. He lives in Maine with a lovely lady and when they were in town last I had the whole family to dinner here including them.

He was an excellent father to our sons and worked hard until his retirement. We did a lot of things together when we were married, like long distance bicycling, tennis, etc. They still bicycle and cross country ski. Our relationship is good and I am happy to have it that way for my sons benefit. Also he still has a soft place in my heart. Jeanie :)

That's a great way for things to be Jeanie. Very rare.

Jeanie, it is so much better than hating each other and putting each other down. There was no way my former husband and I could stay together, but we have always been able to maintain a friendship. I am glad you are able to say the same about yours. As Agate said sometimes one or both parties just can't or don't want to, and so it goes by the wayside.

Howie, so nice that you are now flying an airplane. Never know what you are going to do next.

Ann, as the resident expert on chocolate does it count as calories if I just eat snack size (like in Haloween candy)? Can I just have all I want without getting hardly any calories?

This just goes to prove that not everything is always caused by our MS when we think it is. I have snacked on nuts such as cashews and almonds for years. They are so good and good for us. My skin started itching quite awhile ago and I chalked it up to another MS symptom and did nothing. Finally, it got so bad I just started thinking about what I might could do to help it. First I stopped cashews and nothing happened so I said "well, it's not nuts". But then I stopped eating almonds also and the itching has gone away. I hope that it stays gone. It has only been about 10 days, but I think that is what was doing it.

Virginia, chocolate in the correct dose might be the cure so keep experimenting.

Renee, I am wearing fleece tonight and thinking of you.

                                Symphony again tomorrow. :-)
