They’re having a gun control march locally, small crowd expected as its not a big city. Would love to go in my wheelchair, but just not sure I can function late afternoon, the rally time.
But I did lift free weights today. And I stood much longer, walked more competently around the house today and yesterday due to IVIG this week. It lasts the better part of the week and then the problems slowly creep back up.
I am noticing the muscle in my left for arm from the side is still tight like when you lift away. The muscle has not relaxed yet I hate that feeling is the first time I noticed in my arms. It is probably stiff person syndrome acting up.
It’s not normal for the muscle to be continuously contracted as though it was still lifting the weight.
Example, make a tight fist and note the contracted muscle. Now release the fist and the muscle instantly relaxes. Mine didn’t relax for a long time.
Muscles that don't relax like that--that can be very tiring. It happens to my face muscles and some neck/shoulder muscles. I can "will" them into relaxing but they'll go right back into their stiffened-up mode pretty soon. Oddly, if I get into a fairly warm bath up to my chin, the neck/shoulder muscles relax at once. I can feel them loosening and it's my idea of bliss.
This week has been very active. Monday was the Neuro visit in a new building w wasted open space like huge lobby and triple wide hallways. Like an airport, really. Too much walking for walking-challenged.
Tuesday was taking Lily Cat to the ER at Angell Memorial for an eye problem. $150 to tell me nothing wrong. There is something wrong. That was 3 hrs of anxiety and another place w too much open space. No walls to walk against.
Weds was Cassie kitten to her vet. Thurs was hair color for me and laundry when I got home. Friday was a little more laundry and packing.
All week was up and down stairs to the kitten "sanctuary room." Today was airports, real ones. Now, gratefully, on Mom's couch!
I think this week count as a spring boot camp!
