Hi guys! I'm here, just been a crazy holiday time. Mark, I'm glad Penny had a nice birthday. Sorry to send my happy wishes late. I haven't read all the posts I've missed but I saw where you had finally slept recently. I hope you are able to get back on the normal pattern that was doing so much for you and Penny. It's hard though isn't it. We WANT to sleep like everyone else!!! sigh....

Hey Phyllis, I pop in and here you finally are too! I figured you were lost on FB though ;) I'm glad you are still finding connections :)

Kat, how ya doing these days? I hope you have plenty of cozy blankets to keep you warm as I'm sure this weather is hitting you hard. It just sort of got cold WHAM this year didn't it! I seem to get much colder, much easier, the older I get. Don't know why, Lord knows I have plenty of insulation ;) LOL!!!

I'm doing ok I guess. Been having some major spine pains the last couple days. I see my PM Monday so I'm sure it will clear up before then, lol! Isn't that the way it always goes!?!?!

Anybody heard from Brigitte? I should go back and see when she posted last....

Melanie, It is really good seeing you in the room. It is a shame your back pain is acting up and causing so much trouble. I hope the crazy times means you were having fun with lots of family around. Brigitte posted just two days ago busy as always.

Kat, sleeping all day does disorient you doesn't it. I had a day the other day and woke up thinking it was the 4th and Penny's birthday yet it was only the 3rd but I couldn't be convinced it was the 3rd. Enjoy the warmer weather because I am enjoying today and tomorrow getting into the 50s. I should be having a sleep day but I have been putting it off and I hope I don't have it hit me hard soon.

Just woke up and trying to stay awake not succumbing to sleep until tonight. I hope to do some more trim work this evening if I am up to it. I will have to get out and buy more tomorrow to finish up for the weekend as Penny wants to paint.

I'm doing ok Phyllis, except for the current burst of extra back pain. Don't worry, I knew you wouldn't totally desert us ;)

Mark, yes, for the most part the crazy times were good :) I spent a few days scrubbing my house like crazy! We have to jump on those good days when we can! That was some time ago so I know it's not the cause of my current flare. I just keep telling myself that 'this too shall pass' :)

I'm with both Mark &* Kat, sleeping all day does disorients the heck out of ya! The holidays do it to me too, because of the extra days dh gets off. Seems like I'm almost through January before I finally get on the right day, lol!

If I don't get on this weekend I hope everyone has a fabulous one!! And those who are freezing, are able to get warm :)

Hi all. Haven't been in here for ages. Its a funny time after Christmas I agree. My DH has been home for 3 weeks. He has been on great form, very sweet, but I have cabin fever. My house seems grubby, and I am too feeble to give it a really good clean. It needs turning upside down, and this year needs quite a lot of repair work also, plus a new kitchen. Truthfully its far too big for me now.
I would ask you to remember Jacqui at this time, as it is soon the anniversary of her daughter's untimely death, and will of course be a terrible time of the year for her. I think the date is 17th Jan. I will be thinking of her then. We go back a good few years. She has always been very supportive.
Hope you are all very positive for 2012.:)

Beautiful day here, even temps have warmed up Altho it's done nothing to help my back. Not letting that get in the way of vaccing today. Have the energy so taking advantage of it and praying I don't sleep all day tomorrow :). Sounds like all are doing pretty well.
Update on my SIL; surgery over, went well. Did PET scan a couple days prior, found no other cancer except that little 'marble' in his liver. Didn't take his gall bladder out. He should be in his own room, probably up walking today. Kim stayed with him overnight, plus just too tired to come home then go back today. Kids going to visit on Sunday; know 1 for sure is very anxious about her dad; sure 2nd is too; Sam's only 2 1/2; sure he doesn't quite understand what's going on. Thank you for all your support and prayers. Don't know when he starts chemo......sad he has to go thru that again; he had problems with first round.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend......hugs to all, kat

Marijo, thanks for the reminder about Jacquie. I can begin to imagine what she is going through. I will absolutely keep her & her family in my prayers.
I have to say I'm with you on the house cleaning! Wouldn't it be great if we could just turn it upside down and go from there! LOL!! It's what I did to the toy boxes when the kids were little, a whole lot easier to clean!

Hey Jolene, how are you doing? Me? Same old same old.

Kat, they did take that little marble from his liver right? At least I'm thinking that's why they went in. I'm glad they didn't find anything more.

Mark, I hope you have been able to get outside even if just to sit and soak up the sun for a minute, this weather is gorgeous! I could take this year around ;)

Not much going on here as usual. Just laundry. Luckily I have guys for the carrying, otherwise it'd never get done ;)

                  Have a great one!!

marijo, it is good to hear your husband has been so sweet of late. Don't let cabin fever have you doing too much then later paying a painful price for the activity. I hope you get the new kitchen you are dreaming of.

Jolene, still alive but can't say I am up and about very much lately. It is good to see you are still in the world of the living and can stop by now and then.

Melanie, I haven't been able to get out and enjoy the warm weather as I am so exhausted I am sleeping or dozing. I hope to get out of this soon as I seem to hit a streak like this each winter.

Kat, it is good to hear Steve's surgery went well and they got all the cancer. It is a shame he will go through chemo again. I hope the kids get to visit him soon so they see dad is ok. It is one thing I worried about with each of my surgeries because I would be away from home for 6 days and then be in bad shape for several weeks to months so I had to explain things to them when they were young. Just seeing him would help them a lot I bet.

I was able to be awake today but it was a lazy day. I dozed a bit but mainly read or watch the NFL play-offs. Kat get ready for the Giants coming to town next weekend. I sure hope I have more energy tomorrow.

Mark, I hit that last week. I couldn't stay awake for NOTHING! I swear I'd start watching something and the next thing I know the end credits are playing, or worse, a different show! I don't recall ever being that bad. I hope you get out of it soon, before the cold comes back at least!!

I saw my PM today. She's gonna tattle on me to my NS :ambivalence: Since I don't see him until March she seems to think he needs to know about my increase in pain and heavy legs.... sigh.... I know she's right, I just know it'll mean more tests :( Ahhhh, the life of a spiney!

Nice to see lots of posting going on in the room I vacced 1/2 house on Saturday while SO was gone, had an 'event' that night, slept all of Sunday It's like I can't get through a weekend w/o sleeping.

Yes Steve's doing very well, saw the kids yesterday. Doctors just took the marble out; previously I mentioned they were taking his gall bladder too but left that in. He had surgery from the front; muscles in chest/shoulder quite sore which should ease up with more healing. He was so concerned prior but now back to his witty self which is good to hear.

Beautiful day here too, barely any clouds, leaves room for lots of sun, warmer temps. Odd for January but I'll take it instead of snow

Ya'll have great days and peaceful nights! hugs to all, kat

Melanie, yep that is the way it is, sitting there and the next thing I know people have left and a different show is on. I have been so bad I will have a drink and before I put it on the table I drop off to sleep waking up when I feel it spilling on me:o. You do need to see your back doctor if your legs are feeling heavy and not moving the way they should.

Kat, sorry to hear you aren't getting the sleep you need right now. It is good news about Steve especially that the kids got to see him. It was beautiful here too and much nicer than freezing cold weather. Are you getting ready for the Packers game against the Giants? The Giants looked tough his weekend. I hope things get better for you soon and you have a good week.

It started off as a sleepy morning since I didn't sleep last night. I didn't do more than doze off and on though so I got up and got my hair cut and stop by the pharmacy to get my meds for the month. I have a doctor appointment tomorrow to keep my meds in the pipeline as this month was the last of the three meds. Tyrel saw the AF recruiter and I can't believe they have an issue with him trying ADD meds this past 6 months to help himself. He went through HS with a 3.5 and no medication but he is going to woke on a waver so I hope he gets busy with it. He tends to put things off so I hope he keeps up with this as he wants in within 6 months if possible. Well that was my day other than a nice time with Penny for an hour or two with Tyrel gone. She was in a good mood so that happened.

Kat, that's wonderful news about Steve. I'll keep praying he has many more good days than bad, and that his pain eases quickly :)

Mark, I haven't done that with a drink yet but I've been in the middle of reading and wake up when it drops, which may be why I've been reading more magazines and newspapers than hardback books, lol!!
Hope you have a good doc appt tomorrow.

I spent most of the day running errands and I'm wiped out! I'm just waiting to take my last pill then I think I'll be sleeping soon after...well at least I HOPE I will ;)

Melanie, I wish I were falling asleep earlier but I think I will here in another hour or so. The doctor appointment isn't anything new just the typical check up with me every three months. I hope you are snoozing and that I will be joining you soon.
