Jendie, I also wish you lots of luck. You have your plate full with this legal stuff plus Rituxan coming up. Maybe the infusion will help you to deal - at least in the long run.

By the way, since I have mentioned my nephew on here on occasion regarding his golf, I can now add a bit of news to that.

Last week he was given his PGA 2016-2017 Tour card. He got it by placing in the top 25 money makers on the Web.com tour. I think you might would say that Web.com tour is a step below the regular PGA. He said he had been working for this since the age of 7. He thanked his parents, family, friends and people who had supported him.

He hasn't been home in a long time because of being on tour. He is in Oregon this week and then I think he might come home and rest up for awhile.

Golf is a difficult game. I admire anyone who can keep on playing it and learning all about it. Just getting the stance right seems to be a high art.

Your nephew must be outstanding at it. He'll probably have a room full of trophies in a glass case!

It is a VERY difficult sport. It's not like putt-putt where you only putt on a consistent surface. Instead, you are outdoors with all it's little bumps and hills, and trees. The wind is what it is. And let's not forget the dreaded sand trap!

I'll take a nice flat drag strip any day!!!

I'll tell you a little secret. Had I not just eaten, today would have been day 4 of not eating. Sleep has been the same, but I did sleep last night. The reason for no eating was financial. The reason for not sleeping I guess was just worry, but I've enjoyed the late night TV.

But now I will return to daily eating, and sleeping will depend on what's on TV!

When I used to watch golf on a tiny tv, the course looked flat to me, so I wondered what could be so difficult....hit the ball to somewhere near the hole, then aim for it, shove it in there. Then I happened by a real golf course....saw the humps and hills and curves and trees, and realised it wasn't all that simple after all!

I still wouldn't have played it...walking all that distance under a hot sun just to whack a ball around just doesn't seem like fun to me!

I've played miniature golf and wasn't dreadful at it but it's an entirely different can of worms from regular golf.

Then there was one of my brothers who was willing to commute 60 miles to work (and 60 miles back) just so he and his wife could live in a community built around its golf course.

Some people get addicted to golf, maybe.

Some people do get addicted to golf and then there are some who it just seems to be in their bones, and this is my nephew and many of the professional golfers out there. It is not at all as easy as it looks. When he comes off the course in a tournament he is so mentally and physically drained that sometime when he is at home and his parents are going out to eat he lets them bring him a take out. He is too tired to engage in conversation. Yet, if he is not in a tournament, within a day or two he will pick up his clubs and head for a course to practice.

Agate, as far a trophies go there are already so many dating all through his life from age 8 on that I think they have many in storage. He has won all over the U.S. while in his teens and earlier life. He has flown this country over many, many, many times. Had he not had the parents he has who recognized the potential and gave up everything to allow him to do this it just could not have happened. Some parents could not possibly have done it and then there are many who just would not have recognized the potential was there.

Howie, have you eaten? You worry me!

Where is Rene? She has been gone a long time. Just hope she is alright.

Where is Vicky? I guess maybe she was around yesterday.

Agate. kind of interesting story re Tiger Woods. When my nephew was 19 he won a tournament (one time deal unfortunately) that allowed him to play that year in the U.S. Open. He was on the driving range practicing when Tiger Woods was there. Everyone was going several tees away from Tiger and there were no tees left to drive off, so my nephew went to one just two tees over and started driving. A picture was taken of both of them and it looks like they are standing next to each other both of them swinging at the same time. He did talk to him out on the course during the game. They had a wait period and my nephew was close to him so he just walked over and told him who he was and that he was a friend of (name blank). Tiger was at that time a neighbor and close friend of this man. So they had a little conversation for a couple of minutes during the wait.

I hope Tiger was wearing one of those famous green jackets!

I've been wondering about renee for quite a while. She doesn't usually stay away this long. Let's hope she's on a beach somewhere having a good time.

Renee is at a nude beach, and she's going to post pictures when she gets back!

Virginia, I ate a good meal, and with my belly full, I went to sleep. I just did wake up, and made coffee, so the eating part is on track, but sleeping? "Rome was not built in a day".
